Location was great No refrigerator, the picture of the room I booked was way larger than the actual size of the room , difficulty in storing close without a dresser

As a hospitality professional, I would like to share some constructive feedback about our stay. Overall, we were satisfied, and we understand that New York hotels are expensive in August. However, paying nearly $2,000 for two rooms for two nights felt excessive considering the small size of the rooms, their general wear and tear, and several items not working properly. Our main concern was the service. With one or two exceptions, the staff seemed tense, unsmiling and not particularly welcoming or helpful. At this price level, guests should expect a warmer and more attentive experience. Improving the team’s friendliness and guest engagement should be a priority. A special mention goes to the Ecuadorian gentleman serving breakfast, who was friendly and professional. The breakfast itself was very good and reasonably priced, and the $25 nightly food credit was appreciated. The hotel has charm and a good location, but the condition of the rooms and, above all, the lack of warmth from the staff need improvement.

Fantastic location walking distance to everything you want

Nevertheless, would definitely stay there again.

Location. Didnt clean daily despite repeated requests. The facility fee charge is a scam. Have to go downstairs to the lobby - difficult with bags when first arrive. Wouldn't be a massive problem but for the 5-star pricing.

I liked the art deco decor. The room was ready early which was very nice after a long morning of travel. The hotel was located very close to the subway. The first night was a bit loud because our room was located by the elevators. I put a towel under the door and this helped.

Beautiful little hotel, with great location and ambience. The room my husband and I shared was on the small side but spotless and comfortable and had a nice view from the 11th floor. The room that our daughter and 10 y o grandson were assigned wasn’t near ours, so the lovely staff upgraded them to a bigger room on a closer floor. So nice for my grandson’s first trip to NYC. The hotel also provides an excellent breakfast in a very pretty room downstairs and gave us daily $25 coupons towards it.

Location and staff. The rooms are just too small.
