The biggest issue was that the hotel does not have an elevator. This was never made clear when I booked through Expedia, and our room was on the fifth floor. Carrying luggage up and down five flights of stairs was extremely inconvenient. The air conditioning did not work properly during the first two days of our stay, making the room very uncomfortable. The bathroom sink was also broken. I called the front desk to report it, and I was told someone would come the next day to fix it, but no one ever showed up. The building is very old and appears to be poorly maintained. The stairways constantly smelled like marijuana, which made the overall environment unpleasant. Overall, this hotel did not meet my expectations. Better maintenance, cleaner common areas, and clearer information about the lack of an elevator would have made a big difference. I would not choose to stay here again.

The location was good. Staff accepted to hold my luggage before and after checking for long hours. Staff received and kept safe an important parcel mailed to me. I was put in a room on the last floor and there was no lift, had to drag my suitcase up and down 3 sets of stairs with not even a single gesture of help or apology from the staff.

Great location. 200 feet from subway station. Had room with private bath which was ok for the price. Took a Prost shared bathroom in Japan’s it was remodeled-nice and clean. I would consider staying again No elevator but on the positive side it was good exercise

It was a great stay! Staff was extremely helpful!

It's ok if you just want a place to sleep for the night. It could do with a good scrub and the windows could do with a clean. Shared bathroom was pretty clean though.

The location was perfect to reach many attractions. The room has needed utilities. Air conditioning was perfect for summer days The corridors and stairs smell like weed. No elevator

Thought it was a good deal for location. Just go there to sleep and rest. Comes with a cute hotel cat that will want to come into your room.

Staff were super nice. Location was perfect. It wasnt very clean
-
The rooms was very congested, as in not much walking space. Location was good, near subway and bus stop. Kept luggage, however bathroom door wouldn’t fully close
-
Subway station basically next door. I would say more hostel vibes rather than hotel but you do get own room. Good value for money, although more expensive when World Cup was on.

It was definitely a budget option, the beds were made and comfortable and staff were friendly enough. however, it did not look like the photos at all, which was initially off putting. regardless, it was decent enough space wise and all utilities did what they were supposed to.

Hotel was lovely! There was a beatiful cat who helped us to our rooms! I think he may have the soul of the previous landlord in his body, because he was very helpful. Amazing place very clean.

Great location, great room, super clean! No elevator for people not used to walking! Got my fitness in!

Location Staff poor, common toilets dirty
-
Service, friendly staff No elevator.
-
No elevator and shared bathrooms. In my opinion it’s worth $75 a night not $100+.

Location is great. Easy to get to JFK in the morning. Bed was comfortable. Staff seemed uninterested and pretty rude.
-
Basic hotel with minimum amenities and shared clean bathrooms, but the price was lower than others. I was looking to save money so it was a good deal for me. Well located in Manhattan. I like the hotel cat.

We arrived at the hotel and it didnt look like the pictures. We checked in and we're told we were on the forth floor and there was no lift. This isn't a hotel for people with disabilities. The room was clean and the towels were changed daily but it needed a lot of TLC. The location was amazing and compensated for the room, lots of nice restaurants round and right by a tube station. Overall we only slept there as we were out all day.
