The hotel is centrally positioned with good restaurants, pharmacies, shops and subway nearby. The bed was a good size and the beddings seemed clean enough though smelled on stuffiness. I had to acclimatize and get used to the smell. The way the outside of the hotel looks when you arrive. It has a dark gray color with no name of the hotel outside. Looks very cheap, unappealing and scary wondering what you will find inside. The room was stuffy with very dirty windows which I believe are never cleaned, Other parts of the room have peeling paint making it look dirty and cheap. I also did not like the fact that they have no elevator though they have top floors. They however did offer for someone to take my bags up and down the stairs,

The location was excellent. Right next to Subway station. It was clean. It was a bit dated with dodgy electrics & staff were unclear about how the room safe operated.

Location is good. Subway is 1 minute away. They are changing your towels everyday. They let us check in before the checkin time. Really good experience about everything

The location was incredible and close to everything. The shared bathrooms were very clean and accessible. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The AC worked amazingly, and the bed was comfortable. The room was small but that was to be expected. I didnt love the shared bathrooms but they were clean and close to the room.

The good: Great location, decent size room, perfect for non-fussy people purely looking for a bed to use when exploring NYC. Clean bedding daily. The bad: Non-obvious areas like skirtings, behind beds etc were filthy. Half of the towels we were given were visibly dirty. Lampshades inexplicably stained. Plug sockets were held with expanding foam and some didn't retain plugs. I feel bad giving negative feedback to somewhere that is honest in its rating and offers much more reasonable prices than elsewhere but we still paid a decent amount of money and feel like minimum cleanliness standards were not met.

Pros: location, price, cat, nice staff, store bags at check out Cons: no elevator, noise travels, rundown look (paint touch ups in the right colors and some new towel bars and hooks would do wonders), inconsistent wifi
