The property itself was clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful and polite. A few things I didn't like: 1) PARKING, at $35 per day was not worth it. It was the Prudential Center parking lot and hotel guests had to park on the top - 5th floor, which meant walking or taking the elevator down 5 flights to walk up an incline to the door leading into the hotel. The night of a Prudential Center event, we could not access the parking until all cars were ushered out. We returned from a wedding and reception - were very tired after taking folk to other destinations and had to wait on the street before we were allowed to park. 2) ROOM my husband and I were assigned was uncomfortable. The TV was at the side of the bed in lieu of in front. Watching TV in bed was uncomfortable having to turn our heads to watch instead of looking forward. 3) WATER pressure non-existent our departure day. Luckily, my daughter was on a lower floor and had water pressure. The hotel claimed a street water main break. The water did come out brown with sediments but cleared after 5 to 10 minutes of running. 4) BREAKFAST that we paid in advance (Starbucks) the menu was very limited. You could only get one entree and one drink. Ours was $25/person. 5) There was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. 6) Very loud STREET NOISE as the front of the hotel is on a main street. It is not the same hotel I saw advertised with the same address. I will not stay here again!

The Marriott staff and hotel was very good but the security services being used was deplorable. Since you have to come into the first floor and go through security before being allowed to go to 2nd floor hotel lobby found the security guard extremely rude and unprofessional. Then when I left with a different guard on duty I could not even get the guard to lift her head to say hello or good morning . This certainly leaves a very poor impression.

The rooms were nice and clean Paid extra for room service and it was just a ghost kitchen who leaves overpriced food in the lobby. Also paid extra for breakfast in the morning, and it turned out to be from a little Starbucks, kiosk, where you can pick one beverage and one entrée. Never had this kind of breakfast experience from a hotel before. Odd people in the lobby, blasting loud music from their phones for everyone to hear while they just stared into the distance.

For $500, I expected the same level of quality and experience that I received in years prior. Unfortunately, this stay was completely different. There was a water main break, so we had no water on Sunday, and we had to park on the 5th level. It’s just the overall quality and the changes that have been made that really aren’t acceptable for the price point. SMH. I definitely won’t be staying here anymore. Such a shame because I used to really enjoy this place

The location was convenient. Staff friendly. Parking costs $38 a day for the parking garage directly behind them. The information about this is not clear.

Convenient location - close to Newark Penn station. Good parking lot with lots of parking but expensive $38 per day. No amenities - no swimming pool, no coffee, too expensive for the value you get. Lots of homeless people around smoking weed all the time, feels unsafe and yucky to get out. Don’t choose King bed room because the sofa is so tiny - only an elementary schooler can sleep there and the sofa bed was very u comfortable - you could feel the springs on ur back. Breakfast is paid too, thankfully there is a Starbucks in the building, of course you have to pay for it but at least it adds to convenience. Overall a 3 stars.

Stayed for a concert at the prudential center. Walking distance from venue and many places to eat that are also walking distance. I thought they had parking put there are lots around, book them quickly if you are staying for an event. No complaints, clean and nice.
