Hampton Inn & Suites Newark-Harrison-Riverwalk

The property was very quiet and clean. The property was nice.

This was a last minute stay after a concert & my car being towed, so not planned. Staff was super helpful and suggested I reserve the room online since the rooms were more expensive at the counter. The hotel was clean and well maintained, a little dated but still in good conditions. The breakfast & coffee were good.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed and pillows. We loved that there was a microwave and fridge in the guest room. Check-in was easy. I would stay there again!

If you’re planning to stay here everything’s perfect, besides the train, it’s so loud at night make sure your room is on the opposite side from train, and if you’re by the road, cars will be loud

I can’t find any problems. I just want to address my concerns before I book the hotel and my experience afterwards. First is the location, it’s 22 minutes of walk to Harrison Path station, not bad, it’s $10 for uber/lift, it’s Ok. Second is the parking, it’s just a parking lot by the building, there’s no gate. If you have a higher risk car, parking will be a concern. Over all it’s better than expected, I would come again. Appreciate.

Room: first day, we walk in, and there is a cockroach on the bed. We asked the staff to spray the room. The next day, found one cockroach in the bathroom. Bathroom: little pressure in the shower. Bathroom ceilings really need maintenance as we say dark spots in the ceiling corners.

I liked that the room was clean They ran out of food in the morning . My kids had to stay hungry . Security is poor , strangers (non clients )walk in any time . One stranger approached my child with the intentions of kidnapping him , thank God I was watching from a distance . Don’t have most amenities that’s posted on their website

After a horrible experience at another hotel an hour before we landed here. It was clean, everyone was friendly and wasn’t far from the port.

The hotel was clean. Do not expect a beautiful blue river. It green and murky. Parking is extremely limited. They have about 30 spots on the property. When those are full they will tell you to park 2-3 blocks away under the train tracks in Newark, NJ.

Spacious and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. Parking was a bit rough.

Good sized room. Breakfast was good. Spacious dining area. A/C unit was noisy. Limited on-site parking so had to park off-site.

Everything was great except our bathroom still had hair in the shower and toilet paper.
