Quality Inn Newark - Wilmington

I could not check in for about 5 hours because the Internet was out. Had no wifi whole weekend.

Nothing was wrong with anything

parking is convenient.

There was an unexpected, unadvertised $50 fee for incidentals; but, it was reinstated quickly. The designated non-smoking room had a smoky smell, which the staff reported could not do anything about as all the rooms were like this. Smokers occupied the facility when it was advertised to be a non-smoking facility. Nearby traffic was noisy but bearable. The elevator was locked and accessible by key card access only. But the security door lock to the stairwell was rendered inoperable due to the fact that it was left ajar. Overall, it was good enough for my purposes for a short stay.

The general area was not well maintained or clean. The room was not that clean and the bathtub had paint chips and looked stained. The pool area had trash all over it. The location was great. It is not a good Quality Inn.

No waste bins, everything very unclean. Dried blood on sheets of one bed. Shower was gross enough that we put a towel on bottom. Would not return

But, I did choose the cheapest stay I could find, so…

The first room assigned was unable to get into. The 2nd room the bathroom door barely closed and the tv didn’t work. Called to ask if someone can check the tv I was told a person was coming up and never showed. Smoking ppl all over the property. And random stragglers on the premises.

Rooms smelled like smoke, and bed was uncomfortable. There was also trash underneath the bed.

DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO AVOID THIS PLACE.!! the price is definitely enticing but this place is horrible. stayed here for 3 terrible nights. when we first checked in, our room was not clean at all. there was stains on the sheets and the floor had lots of crumbs. they don’t give you enough towels at all. once i told the front desk our room was dirty, they said house keeping would come clean and they never did!! stayed 3 nights here and housekeeping never came. breakfast is literally bread, spreads, & milk. nothing else. didn’t get to check out the pool because it was likely they don’t keep up with it and was scared to catch an infection or something. overall this place is super run down, old, smelly and has bad customer service. the only good thing out of our stay was the AC was super cold and the TV worked but that’s all. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE EVER AGAIN. LITERALLY THE WORST HOTEL IVE EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE

The upkeep of the hotel is horrible. Rooms smell like stale cigarettes, stains on the curtains. The best thing was the swimming pool.

Very peaceful/clean/comfortable and relaxing

The halls were dirty and when I asked where the ice machine was, I was told “the third floor” which was a major inconvenience since I was on the first floor, on the outside (as requested). The old adage “you get what you pay for” applies here. I certainly won’t stay here again. It needs a major renovation and paint job as well as better cleaning education to the maid staff. Yuck. Very dissatisfied.

Property smelled of cigars and Marijuana. Trash bags in the halls and filthy elevators

The bad things I noted was the TV did not work in the room - good thing she brought a book. Notified front desk clerk upon check out. AND my cousin did not feel safe in the parking lot. My cousin saw/smelled on several occasions several people smoking pot in the parking areas and other substances. This was a major turn off for her especially for families with children who were also staying in this hotel. My cousin informed the clerk of this also. She won't be returning nor would I even offer for her to stay there again under these circumstances.
