Bellevue House

Location was great! Can easily walk to Thames St and the cute shops. Rooms were very clean and AC worked very well. It is an old colonial building so the rooms are small but we didn’t mind because the location is so great.

Very nice with old world colonial charm. Room are small but very well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! Plentiful parking, just a 10 minute walk to the wharf! The main door to the house did not latch shut

The room was very comfortable and more spacious than I anticipated. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. I liked the location of the hotel, as we were able to walk to almost everything we needed to. I was happy there was free and ample parking close by. The breakfast could've been better - the French toast was very soggy and the yogurt tasted like it had been sitting out for too long.

Very charming property, great location to walk around Newport, the staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. They had a homemade breakfast every morning with coffee juice & fruit, which was good. The room was pretty small, hardly any space for luggage or to walk around the bed.

If it is sunny out, you have a great place to eat outside, but if it’s raining, you’re kind of in the basement for breakfast, which isn’t so terrific. The breakfast is good lots of options. It’s very confusing, checking in even though they do their best to tell you where to go. Ample parking. within walking distance of all popular attractions. Would definitely stay again!!

So close to town! Chairs too big and could have used another bed side table instead of arm chair!

Breakfast dining area in a basement? Dark, musty, just wrong...

Breakfast was good, bedding was clean and fresh. Parking was fine. Check in was confusing - it was not easy to know where to go since it was not in the hotel I booked - they should let people know that before they get there. They also switched my hotel from Bellvue House to Inn on Bellvue saying my original room was taken (what???) Breakfast was not in the hotel either - had to walk down a few properties. Front desk was rarely staffed - most times I went there nobody was manning the desk or even nearby. Even for check out I had to call a phone number for assistance and they said to just leave the key. Overall, everything was fine, but I think I expected better.
