Bellevue House

I guess we got what we paid for considering Bellevue House (and affiliated inns) is in downtown Newport and doesn't cost $600/night. Didn't really expect anything great, and it wasn't. It definitely would have been nice if breakfast was earlier than 8:00.

The room was clean and looked as shown in pictures. The staff was very helpful and friendly! The bed was comfortable. Great location!

I should have been told prior to going that I would have to climb 3 full flights of stairs up into a hot attic, I was unable to climb them, it was so hot, I had difficulty breathing and climbing, the guy that helped me check in was nice, I was then put into a basement, the sprinkler room. I heard the stuff running all night. When early morning came, I was woken up by staff getting breakfast, right outside my door, and there were other patrons right there at my door, eating breakfast. The room and bathroom had black hairs throughout. It was very upsetting to have this happen, I was looking forward to a good little vacation.

This was a good find as far as rates go in Newport. It's convenient to the wharves and the mansions. It's older and quirky. It has no elevator. We were on the third floor. Given a choice, I might book the basement. It also had breakfast close by, but I didn't find the time to go.

Room was too small. Television kept cutting out during the World Cup games.

Upon checkin, I couldn't find the building that the front checkin counter told me to go to. Even upon double-checking, I still couldn't find it. It is simple once you know where you're going but if it isn't obvious they need to have a paper showing the location or they should explain how to walk there. All we got was a person pointing backwards to the left and that wasn't clear enough for us to identify the building.

Beautiful room located in walking distance of downtown. Parking and breakfast included. Will definitely go back!

This Inn is perfectly located to walk anywhere. Clean and somewhat updated. But ask ahead if your room has A/C. The rooms are in an old house. This is not a Hyatt. But that’s part of the joy. It also means it is easy to hear what’s going on in other rooms. There is no sound proofing. Bring your noise machine if you’re a light sleeper. .Large breakfasts are included. .

Show up walking distance to all the shops and restaurants Our room was satisfactory, the room didn’t look like any of the pictures online, and it was located right on the side of the storage room which looked un kept and not too clean looking.

It is an old colonial building so the rooms are small but we didn’t mind because the location is so great.

The location is excellent, perfect for an easy walk to the wharf and multiple dining options. The cliff walk and mansions, and other key sites, were an easy drive. We appreciated the breakfast with hot options such as eggs and pancakes. The bathroom in our room was microscopic (no room for anything on the sink other than a toothbrush), and the air conditioning, which we only needed because the window in our room would have opened to the parking lot, cycled on and off constantly, which was noisy at night.

Very nice with old world colonial charm. Room are small but very well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! Plentiful parking, just a 10 minute walk to the wharf! The main door to the house did not latch shut

Room was the smallest we have ever stayed in.

There was a ball of black hair in our shower :( Breakfast was meh It was very expensive

Good breakfast with a good variety of breads, coffee, jam, etc. We were walked to our rooms by the receptionist and were welcomed with smiles. nothing

The room was very comfortable and more spacious than I anticipated. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. I liked the location of the hotel, as we were able to walk to almost everything we needed to. I was happy there was free and ample parking close by. The breakfast could've been better - the French toast was very soggy and the yogurt tasted like it had been sitting out for too long.
