Wine and appetizers set out in afternoon. Breakfast was outstanding.

This is a beautiful place in a great location with Cliff Walk access right down the street.

Great location, tasty breakfast and snacks, overall nice touches.

We had the Loft room which was lovely, spacious and cosy all at the same time. We enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese at 5. It was all good. I guess I would’ve liked an earlier breakfast because we had to leave around 7 and missed it.

Great location, great staff. I would definitely not hesitate recommending it to anyone.

This little inn was amazing. Steps from the cliff walk and very walkable into the main town, restaurants and bars nearby too. We loved the breakfast each morning, the decor and cleanliness were unbeatable. We loved our stay! No notes!

Lovely place! End of road is cliff walk access wine happy hour free snacks free water free great coffee included nice breakfast ! Plus was safe clean comfortable! Will stay again! Sunroom was sunny!

Very nice property and close to key areas in Newport. Didn’t like the bed which appeared to be a full bed and not a queen. In the particular room that I selected, the bathroom was down stairs. The stairs was one of the curled ones; very tight to navigate up and down. I have a bad knee which didn’t make it easier. Otherwise. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful, great recommendations. The room was nicely laid out and comfortable. The history made this property unique. The distance to the cliff walk and shopping, restaurants was perfect.

This is an outstanding place to stay and enjoy Newport from.

The check-in person was communicative but the breakfast person’s attitude was a bit off. In addition, the breakfast was only okay, not as good as some of reviewers mentioned.

This is a beautifully restored historic home. I can't say enough good things about the property and house and staff. We stayed in the Governor's Suite which was very nice and roomy and big roomy bathroom. I must say there are stairs. You must be able to carry your suitcases up the stairs into the house and into your room. Breakfast was very good. Good choices and good coffee. Many things here are within walking distance and felt very safe. I do suggest the trolley tour as you will see things that are a little too far to walk. The cliff walk is just a one minute walk from the house and is beautiful. Staff very attentive.

My mom and I stayed here on our girls trip and had an incredible experience for our first time at an inn/B&B! We stayed in Beatrice’s room which was so cute, had wonderful views of the garden area and a peak at the ocean, the sunrise views from the room were stunning. It was an easy walk to attractions like the cliff walk, mansions and shopping/dining. We loved the breakfast (especially the fresh sourdough bread), the staff was so kind, and we couldn’t hear other guests from our room/the layout is thoughtful for privacy. When I come back to Newport next I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Very charming property and close to the Cliff Walk.

Every single thing about The Cliffside Inn was excellent. The staff were friendly, informative and accommodating. The complimentary wine and appetizers at 5pm was a lovely touch after exploring Newport and waiting to head out for dinner. One night they offered chilled shrimp! We highly recommend the inn, and hopefully we will return some day!

Very nice cozy inn. Convenient to the Cliff Walk. A bit of a stroll to the wharf area. Breakfast was delicious and there were a few unexpected treats as well. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. All good. Would definitely recommend to others.
