Affordable place to stay in Rhode Island.

This is the kind of hotel you would rent by the hour to spend some quality time with a person you just met at the bar and even then, only if you were truly desperate. You would not mind the slow internet, since you would be otherwise occupied. Stained bedspread, moldy shower curtain, dingy lighting, beat up furniture, loud ac and bath fan, strong ammonia smell: all perfect for a romantic one night stand.

I can’t say anything good about this motel. Our room was very dirty and musty, and when we first walked in, we had no electricity. The tub was dirty and had soap scum on it. It had mold on the shower curtain and the ceiling was moldy. There was hair still in the bathtub and on the toilet from previous occupants. We complained about this to the front staff, and instead of trying to give us another room or clean it they threatened to throw us out. There is no vending machine on the property and no ice machines. When we got into bed, our sheets were grainy like there was a bunch of sand in them, but there wasn’t sand. I think that the sheets were just so poor of quality that they were very uncomfortable. The pillows were tiny and flat, and the towels were very worn out and thin. We were depressed every time we had to come back to the room. The maintenance guy that came to fix our electricity and television was polite. That’s the only good thing I can say. The wifi never worked and you can barely get cellular service either. Apparently this is a place where people live and the clientele looked pretty sketchy. To top it off we found out that in May 2026 one of the occupants of the hotel had killed his mother there in one of the rooms and then committed suicide. Do not stay here unless you are desperate I beg you!

Decent great for the price!

Bathroom was awful, like hair in tub drain awful. Tiny microwave that didn't work. Just generally run down old place. If you need someplace to sleep for a night, well at least the sheets were clean but that's about the best I could say.

The hotel was definitely a older hotel. It was s beautiful area! The beds were super hard and springy. The bathroom was small! The room was decent but could have really used a DEEP clean. The parking lot was super flooded from the rain. We would stay again as a one night stop. Ok, for the price.

The staff were great. Motel is a bit outdated but served the purpose for a one night stay in Newport. The rooms were clean.

It was close to Newport It was very dirty, the room smelled like cigarettes. The furniture was dirty and broken. There were stains on the chair and bedding. If I could have left and received a refund I would have.

It was a short drive to the Wyndam Newport where we needed to attend a wedding. There was no hair dryer, iron, or coffee maker in the room. Also, no ice available. The bathroom door was difficult to close as it was not level with the floor. You had to lift it to close it.

Extremely reasonable, friendly staff and very clean room. Great stay!

Room, restroom, TV, outlets, microwave and AC AVOID this place! I stayed here in July 2026 and was incredibly frustrated to find that the motel’s Wi-Fi did not work at all. To make matters worse, cell service is completely nonexistent in this area. Because of this total connectivity blackout, I ended up missing a major FIFA World Cup game I had planned to watch, which was unacceptable. My wife also was unable to do her professional work, which was urgent. To be fair, the room, restroom, and amenities (AC and microwave) were okay. The keyless entry and ample parking were also nice perks. However, there is simply no excuse for a complete lack of Wi-Fi in this day and age—especially when you are paying $135 a night.

Originally chose this place for the last 3 years based on price, but it is no longer a good value. No breakfast. Office doesn’t open till ten am so no coffee. The sign is not lighted at night so it is very difficult to find the place, if we had not been there before we would not have found it. No ice. Ice machine is “broken” It was “broken” the last two years when we stayed here. Maybe they should buy a better machine. Toilet seat was broken. Room was generally not as clean as in previous visits.

Dirty. Shower was moldy. No hot water and shower did not work. One hand towel and one washcloth for 2 adults. Air conditioner didn't work, smelled like it was burning when turned on. No staff on-site after check-in time. Number on door to call but nobody answered.

The room was ok, spacious but dim lighting , all electricity outlets are behind furniture , very difficult to charge your electronics , vey bad internet connection , I had to use my phone as a hot spot for my laptop , very inconvenient , very old bathroom and bath tub but operate well, minimal amenities , I will only come back again if I’m desperate

The room was very basic and it was fine for one night. The room appeared to be clean. The manager was very nice and welcoming and helpful. Upon walking into the room there was a bit of a musty smell but opening the window helped. We thought perhaps the filter in the air conditioning unit needed changing. The ice machine wasn’t working so we had to go buy ice. We wished there had been a coffee/tea kettle machine in the room.

Location was good for where we needed to be. It look cute from outside, but don’t be fooled. Arrived at 2:25, was told NONE of the rooms were ready, and we could check in between 3 and 11. WiFi is basically non existent. You get 3 WiFi choices, but can only connect outside of the room, and once you are back in your room, it’s gone. We were told it was because of the naval base. Cell service was bad as well. Rooms are so outdated, the bathroom heater is covered in rust spots, the furniture is old and chunky and beat up. Our sheets had stains on them. The only outlet we had access to was a power strip hanging on the opposite side of the room. This room was not worth $300+, even for a Saturday night. If they are making that much money, having every room booked to the point that you can’t check in 1/2 hour early, they should update the place with that money. So if you don’t mind paying that kind of money for a bed and no means of communication with the outside world except a television, you’ll be ok.
