Wellington Resort

We loved this hotel and it was perfect for our 2 young kids. It was an easy walk to the wharf and heart of Newport. Our kids loved playing in the indor and outdoor pools and there were plenty of lounge chairs and tables. The suite was spacious and we loved having a dining room and sitting area for the kids to play and eat.

Fantastic location. Enormous space. On ocean. Beautiful view. Rooms are dated and tired. Staff is terrific. They need to give the place a facelift.

Facilities location great suites

We were very pleased with our accommodation at the Wellington. We would recommend it. The view is fantastic and everything was beyond our expectations. We found it very convenient and it was nice to have a pool. We helped to come again. We seem to like everything. A few things could be updated.

Walkable for the Newport town. We enjoyed the pool. Our condo was spacious. Great view of harbor. I liked the back door access to the pool. Old and outdated. We were there for a wedding and there was a brunch at 12pm, check out was at 10am which I understand. Didn’t appreciate a charge for parking after 10am when we just spent 700$/night. Resort should have parking spaces that are designated just for this reason.

Suites are older but very spacious and clean. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchen equipment. Location is excellent to the main attractions-shopping, the wharfs, the mansions, Ocean Drive.

The location of the property is amazing!! Beautiful water views every single day. We loved starting and ending our day out on the balcony watching the boats in the harbor. We booked this hotel specifically because there is an indoor on an outdoor pool, however, the water was way too cold to swim in every single day. We wish the pool was heated. This is our fourth trip here and we have yet to enjoy swimming because the water is freezing each time we go and we go in August, which is the hottest month in Rhode Island.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wellington. It was clean, very comfortable and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool was great and well kept. The location is perfect for a stay in Newport and you can’t beat the balcony views.

Large comfortable rooms

First time staying here and we loved it. The space felt like a little apartment. Loved having my own bathroom connected to my room and my daughter having her own bathroom as well. The kitchen was perfect. The grounds The pool everything waa clean and jusy perfect. Would stay again. So close to everything you really dont need your car. Had a little trouble turning off the whirlpool, wished our balcony had a cover to shade you from the sun like others and the AC was a little loud. But honestly these are just suggestions.

The harhour view is brilliant! We saw beautiful sunset cloud at the balcony. And the room is very comfortable and clean, especially the big living room. Moreover, the location is great, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Everything is Perfect! None.
