Place was nice for an overnight or a weekend. Convenient location. Breakfast was good. No complaints or major issues, Building and rooms are just very dated. Feels old and cheap. However it’s clean. With a refurbish it would be great

The cutest boutique hotel in the perfect location, complete with free breakfast and complimentary parking. It truly felt like stepping back into the 1800s, with all of its historic charm and character. The personalized service made the experience even more special, and our room was impeccably cleaned every day. It was the perfect place to stay and made our trip even more memorable.

Very good location and a comfortable and clean property. I liked the fact that there was a Poland Springs water dispenser in the hallway. The breakfast had basic bread, boiled egg ham and fruit but wasn’t interesting or special

Great location in the heart of Newport on Thames Street. The feel of a colonial inn in terms of furniture and decor, but with modern bathrooms. Very clean. The staff was great. Very good breakfast each morning. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the famous Newport wharfs.

This Inn has the perfect location - you can walk to everything. It’s super clean and comfortable and the staff is incredibly nice. There are no negatives.

Stayed at Admiral Fitzroy a few times over the past several years. I do feel it’s becoming more and more rundown and not being kept up properly. The tub had some kind of mold and the water wouldn’t shut off properly and overall it just needs some talc. We’re supposed to be spring water outside her door in the hall, that was empty. I really just was not impressed with it anymore. I think for the cost of the room it should be a little bit more Refreshed and updated

The Historic Inn was a quaint, nice little place. Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Complimentary continental breakfast was good in the dining room. Convenient Parking was included in our stay. Easily walkable in town - great location.

Location, clean rooms, very nice staff! Comfortable room. They should take some time to get some beautiful flower pots and brighten up the entrance. It’s dull and unkempt. And get rid of the dead pots on the back stoop. And the breakfast was not good. I expected some freshly baked muffins or scones and better coffee. They can get rid of all the other stuff and get some homemade baked goods with the yogurt and keep the fresh fruit.

Location was excellent.

The only other issue was the size of the TV. Very small for the size of the room. It wasn’t a huge issue because we were not in the room very much. All that being said we will stay here every chance we get. The staff was super friendly.
