Francis Malbone House Inn

This is a gem of a boutique hotel. Clean as can be, beautifully decorated, terrific and sizable rooms, a great breakfast indoors or in a garden, wonderful afternoon tea, close to all of the downtown sites but quiet as can be, on-site parking an a truly terrific staff. We loved our stay here.

We had breakfast served to us in the garden and it was wonderful. The room can definitely use a little update. Our TV did not work, the AC was super old and loud and the room was a bit too small.

Malbone is an excellent facility in every way -- friendly, informative staff, great breakfasts and afternoon teas. the location is fantastic, within walking distance to so many restaurants and shops. we highly recommend it.

Breakfast was a pleasure every single day. Afternoon tea was a delight and a welcome respite from walking & sight-seeing. We absolutely loved sitting by the fireplace in our room. The bathroom was small, but that's what one should expect from a classic old building. The fact that they maintain it so well is amazing, and a real credit to the innkeeper(s).

The breakfast was fabulous the service was great everything about the meal was so nice and relaxing I love visiting the Inn when ever we get a chance Nothing everything was excellent, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well cared for

All the special touches like the fresh baked goods and the lovely breakfast spread each morning were the perfect touch to a beautiful and well maintained property in the perfect location with great parking. Highly recommend!

The afternoon tea and breakfast in the morning are too wonderful to miss. This is my favorite place to stay in Newport!

The location was perfect. Easy walking to the wharfs, restaurants and shops. The staff was truly wonderful, helping with suggestions and even making reservations for dinner. After a day of walking around town and along the cliff walk, afternoon tea at the house was wonderful with a selection of sweet and savory treats. Each day started with an amazing sit down included breakfast offering a choice from 2 delicious selections. It was such a pleasant long weekend stay there was nothing we didn't like. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a larger power strip for ease of charging, but not a deal breaker.

Staff was friendly and helpful and offered lots of interesting facts about the facility and also about the town. The entire facility was charming, clean and well kept up. The room was perfect, and the breakfast was delicious. There was dedicated parking which was so helpful. The house is walking distance from shops, restaurants and amenities. I would not only stay here again myself, I would recommend it to friends. Nothing. Really, this place is charming.

Truly, a beautiful B&B, multiple rooms for relaxing, a fabulous breakfast in a lovely dining room. Fireplaces to take the chill off and overall just a unique experience can’t recommended highly enough.
