The Giacomo Niagara Falls NY, an Ascend Collection Hotel

I really liked the design and features of the hotel. Kevin in the cocktail bar was excellent and is a real credit to the hotel.

Not so clean

Great place to stay, really close to the border. Clean rooms and great staff.

Quaint historic feel hotel in a great location with everything in walking distance. Staff was amazing. Large room with comfortable bed and bedding. Large bathroom with large shower. Breakfast buffet was adequate with great staff. Bar and bartender were great. Amazing view at the top floor viewing area. Secure self parking. Highly recommend!

Some people were able to check in ahead of time but we weren't allowed. Dusty room. Scuffs and tears in the wallpaper. Marks on the walls. No ability to turn out the lights from the bed. Really needs a refresh.

Hotel is on the older side but staff is great, parking is safe and convenient, and breakfast is good. You even get a personalized welcome letter!

Location was very clise to the falls which helped a lot. We could leave baggage safely on premises after check out and use the time to explore surroundings

This is worst accommodation we have stayed ever , rooms doesn’t have finished roofs , they are no where closer to what is shown in images, breakfast was horrible

The staff was excellent! The Hotel was a BIG SHOCKING DISAPPOINTMENT! All the Hotel photos in the website were 'beautified' to sell the stay. The Hotel from entry into and throughout even in the room Smelled old and musty!! Old furniture mismatched, worn out, needs a total overhaul dated fixtures everywhere, bathroom fixtures were questionable. Parking not convenient, no restaurants only food trucks with load music blasting during the day. Our air-conditioned room was not operating properly and we simply didn't see a comfortable stay for 2 nights as planned. Ck-in and 2 hrs later ck-out let the clerks know why, you simply can't fix what first impression when it's smelly, old worn out accommodations. No fault of staff. Never had this happen with a Hotels.com reservation misrepresented is what this location is. Not worth a 4-5star rating, we noticed a few other people looking around just like we did, not sure what to do once you've Ck-in at 4 pm. We were very lucky to have found and lined up other accommodations before our ck-out same day (2 hrs after Ck-in). Lesson ck with hotel before arrival parking (if driving) surrounding restaurants and hours of operations. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY

Room was OK, our only issue was the fact that we never got clean towels, and always had to ask to get coffee mugs/cups, And did not like the fact that they left dirty coffee mugs in the room without replacing them
