Hyatt Place Charleston Airport/Convention Center

The air was blasting. Had to call desk 2x to get it shut off. No cafe; no shuttle to airport. Got a salad out of the little case they had. No fork-had to go to desk for utensils. Mattresses were hard.

This property was excellent! Super clean and the staff was exceptional. We'd never been to the area and wanted to go to the beach. The blond girl at the front desk was So helpful and friendly. An awesome, unexpected plus was managers happy hour from 4:30-6:30 with two free drinks per adult and apps. Also, the three free bottles of water a day per room was another added plus. I joined Hyatt rewards in hopes to stay at another Hyatt sometime. Thank you!

Very nice room. The staff was really friendly. My only complaint is the designated smoke area being right outside the back entrance of the hotel. I had to inhale someone smoking Marijuana from my car to tbe door. Smokers should not be allowed to smoke near the building at all.

Perfect place! Very clean and great amenities! Breakfast was really nice!

We love this Hotel, this is the place we stay at on every trip to Charleston, The staff ,the breakfast is the best..

Wonderful helpful staff. Immaculate rooms and common spaces. Very good breakfast.

Stayed here for easy access to convention center. It was an easy walk (for a couple in their 60's) and served its purpose perfectly. For those traveling back into Charleston regularly I would pick a location closer to downtown (traffic was heavy all around the area) but for access to the convention center it was perfect.

Everything was great. The check in process was smooth, staff were friendly, and the room was clean and nicely sized for a family. The workout room was good too, as well as the complimentary breakfast. When we asked for extra towels the staff brought some up to us pretty quick. This hotel is definitely recommended.

When I got ready to shower around 10:00 p.m., I discovered that the shower barely had any water pressure. I called the front desk and spoke with the manager, who explained that there was no maintenance staff on the property that night. She offered to move me to another room, but at 10:00 p.m., with such an early morning ahead of me, packing everything up and changing rooms was not a practical option. The manager apologized and said she would request a $50 refund through Expedia since I had booked through a third party. She also said she would send me an email confirming that she had contacted them. Unfortunately, I never received that email. When I checked out around 6:30 a.m., I spoke with the front desk employee, who told me that only the manager could make that adjustment and that I would need to contact Expedia myself. I'm now working with Expedia to try to resolve the issue. I understand that maintenance issues can happen, but I was disappointed by the lack of follow-through and communication regarding the promised refund. I stayed in Room 422, and I hope Hyatt Place will do a better job of resolving situations like this for future guests.
