North Charleston Lodge

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Room 220 stinks; I don't think it was cleaned—it has a terrible odor. The air conditioner doesn't work properly and the control panel is broken; the fridge is falling apart, and there is no coffee maker or microwave. The outdoor area isn't well-maintained either; there are many cats around, making the place smell awful. Definitely... I didn't sleep well and had two horrible days.

The listing indicated this as a 2-star lodging. For that standard this fine location. The individual who checked me in couldn't have been nicer. Room clean but two small pillows, which is consistent with the 2-star status.

The property smelled really bad and it seemed like all the residents were seen were on drugs. The pool was a joke, very dirty and smelled like dog feces. If you were taking your family here, do not! You’d be disappointed.

There is no shampoo, conditioner, chair, table etc. When asked the manager said thats all they have and they do not supply shampoo.

The staff was really sweet, they work with you, and the AC blows very nice!

The towels were rags, no trash can in the room, had to sign that we would be quiet at 10pm but there were screaming kids and others making loud noises until 3am. The A/C wasn’t working much and the room has so hot it took us forever to fall asleep. The night lady was polite but had no solutions because the “security “ she said she would get up there either didn’t show or made matters worse since the loud noises went on for hours later. Also the phone had no dial tone to reach the front desk so had to walk all the way around in PJs to complain to her. The shower floor was so bad we took showers in our flip flops.

Absolute worst hotel stay ever. Drug deals happening in the pool area, roaches everywhere, nothing worked (tv, ac, etc), fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, dirtiest hotel I've ever seen. Leaves you wondering how many times meth may have been cooked in your room.

I’ll start off with saying the staff was absolutely amazing! So friendly and welcoming. The downside was the pictures shown when renting definitely don’t match. The property is definitely in need of an upgrade as the room I was in looked like it could have been involved in a crime of some sort. Holes in the walls, couldn’t shut bathroom door, also had a hole in it. The walls were dirty. The bed was comfortable. The pool looked ummm sketchy so I didn’t use it. I mean give it a make over and it could be at least a 4 star. It’s in a convenient area so there’s that . And get rid of the weed smell it was definitely over powering in some spots.

Would give zero stars if I could.

Property was disgusting with multiple people hanging out in parking lot. Door to room was unable to be secured. Toilet and were broken. Room was filthy. We attempted to speak of our concerns with front desk staff who didn’t care. Front office and employees smelled of marijuana. We left property after one hour and stayed somewhere else.

The room was not like it showed in the pictures. I requested a non-smoking room with a refrigerator. There was no refrigerator and an ash tray in the room. Nightstand and TV stand didn’t look good, the shower was almost big enough for an average adult to fit in. Had to clean up water on the floor around the shower when through. The door to the room was way off and could see light between the door and frame all the way around it. It also let bugs in. The A/C system was on its last leg it sounded like, but it did cool the room well. Would I recommend this place? No, not even to my worse enemy.

Definitely the grossest place I’ve ever had to sleep, not clean, smelled bad, cigarette burns in the sheets, roaches, and the area was sketchy af to the point of having a curfew and being warned coming in.. absolutely a den, wouldnt suggest but the 2 folks I met behind the counter seemed sweet which was appreciated

Nothing Drug activity, bed bugs, roaches, prostitution, rooms smell like cigarettes smoke. Was unable to stay there. The staff and booking.com refused to help me with my refund so I lost 400.

I’m not one to complain. But Let me just start by saying, I have never stayed in a nasty hotel but this one was definitely a first for me. It was nothing like the pictures, at all!!! The property looked not taken care of, it had a bad smell outside of the hotel and in the room I was given, the AC was not even working right, it was rusted and had stains on the unit, I was sweating in the hotel the whole time I stayed there. I complained to the clerk on duty and she was not even no help, like she didn’t even care. Not to mention there were more than a handful of cockroaches crawling around the room which I was already mad and the shower wasn’t even cleaned properly there was other peoples hair stuck in the shower. So nasty! I couldn’t even believe it. The walls had stains on it, yellow splattered stains. Also I couldn’t get over the smokers smell in the room, gave me a headache, I’m sorry but that hotel should be reported for investigation. It was not worth the money I paid to stay there. I wish I could get my money back. The worst experience!
