The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast options were decent. I was unhappy with the check in experience though. The only somewhat negative I had was during check-in; I arrived at 3pm from out of town for my reservation and was told the room was not ready. I had to find something to keep 2 children preoccupied for nearly an hour and a half before my room was ready. Then after checking in, i ended up going back down to question the extra amount i was charged, but that could have been avoided if the temporary fee was explained at check-in. The wait was not a huge deal because i know it was beyond their control, but it was worth noting. The front desk lady was pleasant enough through the whole ordeal. I was still overall pleased with my stay and the facilities.

I usually don’t leave reviews unless bad or excellent experience. Unfortunately this hotel is over rated. We had bugs flying in our room. Breakfast was not bad but staff could have been friendlier. No room service while we stayed, and trash was not taken out and room left uncleaned. very disappointed. Not going back again.

Had a great time. Even extended our stay. Breakfast was great and staff was wonderful. Anything we needed just asked and got it. Would highly recommend. The area is right off the highway. A lot of places around us and nothing was too far away.

It was a great place to stay. It was a little far from the beach and downtown but we managed. I would stay there again.

Small little hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the beaches of Charleston. Plan for a 20-30 commute to get to downtown or Mt Pleasant or a longer commute (took us over an hour) to get to Folly Beach during peak season.

Clean room, good staff, good breakfast

Terribly dirty. Never expected that from Marriott hotel.

Room was not fully cleaned . Pool closed earlier than most. We didn’t get to use it. Outside patio was occupied all day by contractors couldn’t sit outside. I specifically asked for a walk in shower and got a regular shower
