We knew it wasn’t going to be great when we entered the lobby to an unpleasant smell. There were floor fans with plug in air fresheners to try to cover the smell, but they didn’t help. The smell was worse in the second floor hallway with more fans and air fresheners. Luckily the room didn’t smell. There was huge water stains on the ceiling by the window and chunks of the plaster had fallen down onto the air conditioner. There was also mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The hotel definitely needs some updating and freshening.

Would definitely recommend this place—newer, clean, great breakfast!
-
Clean room and friendly staff. The pool was very small, maximum occupancy of 6, but the kids still enjoyed it. Breakfast was good.

Clean rooms. Cold AC. Good Breakfast. Right near the Highway. Staff was nothing but pleasant and and helpful. Had 3 rooms for a Basketball team and Will be back!

Horrible and not child friendly . Staff called my room several times in the middle of the night because of my infant baby crying .

The rooms were nice and clean. Unfortunately, I smelled weed on my end of the hallway and Im not a fan of weed. I only took away 1 star though. Other than that, the hotel was nice

I really liked everything. It was all beautiful, clean, and well put together... The staff did a great job.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. The location cannot be beat for convenience. It is in the middle of an outdoor mall with boutique shops, lots of eating options, and a theater. Close to the brach and downtown Charleston and King Street.

The rooms were clean, but they had no closets with the extra pillows and blankets. There was only one ice machine on the lobby. It smelled like sewage back up in the lobby and the hallway to the room smelled sour, not fresh. The tub was dirty.the fridge was leaking, u name it. They need an upgrade really bad. I won’t go back!

Good job on everything and thank you for everything

From the time we checked in to the check out, the staff were amazing. The manager had top tier customer service and a great personality. The room was nice, breakfast was great, and staff made sure they engaged everyone that walked through the doors, including the children.

I check in to my reservation hoping to be amazed and to relax with my young neices but my room had ants and one of my neice got bit so i went to the front desk and let them know what was going on,i was not apologized to but was given another room that was not to my standards of what i paid for so i cut my stay short and asked for a refund,my card was double charged for a payment hold that i dont understand but will make an in person trip to resolve and get resolution on tomorrow. It is a total inconvenience of my week.I will not refer Springhill to anyone i know.My first and last experience was miserable.

Front desk & breakfast area was clean. However, all the furniture cushions were peeling, & needed to be recovered or replaced YEARS ago! “Suite” was dingy from the mildew smelling carpet to a dirty shower. The indoor pool water was dirty. When I asked when was the last time it was cleaned, front desk said “let me get someone now”… offered the Towne Place pool across the street. 100 degree heat.. we try to use their pool, only to find it closed for cleaning. The second day of our stay, there was no waffle mix or bananas left. Front desk attempted to improve our “inconvenience” by offering snacks.

Enjoyed my stay. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Although I checked out at 8 am, I appreciate the fact that check out is not until 12 noon. Most hotels with a 3 PM check-in have 11 AM checkout time.

My mattress on the sofa bed was filthy, the refrigerator didn’t work, blood stains on my sheets, and the pregnant lady in the lobby wasn’t really friendly. My kids was using a tray that was laying around just to transport their food to a table, and she rudely took it from them. They was gonna put it right back, and I also reached out to management, and I still haven’t received a call back from them.

We also really appreciate the recent renovations that modernized the hotel, as well as the extra step of blocking off the EV charging spots with cones to ensure they remain available for EV drivers. Thoughtful touches like that make a big difference. Highly recommend this hotel.
