Accommodations were OK. Beds comfortable, room clean. Housekeeping enteredm with out knocking one morning, which was surprising. We flew into Burbank and ubered from airport so as not to have to rent a car, planned to use hotel shuttle to get to Universal Studios & back. Before booking was told shuttle runs back and forth from park open to close. Arrived at hotel 12:10pm, next shuttle to park wasn't until 2pm (with park closing at 5 that day) so had to uber (was told at that time shuttles run on the hour until 10pm; except for there are no shuttles to or from park at 1:00 or at 3:00). Restaurant lacking with limited options & mediocre food. Eggs highly undercooked, most of the white still liquid, but waiter never came back to check so pushed eggs aside and ate around them. Not a horrible stay would will look elsewhere when returning to area. (Shuttle driver was the most friendly and helpful person there. Kudos to him!).

The Staff at the Garland always go above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything you expect. I love this hotel

Nice place to stay, I wish the pool bar opened earlier.

Truly a great place to stay. Feels like a mini resort and a great home base to come back to at night when spending all day out and about the town checking out the sights. Will be my go to spot when going to LA in the future for sure.

Everything was perfect.

When we arrived we had no soaps in the room, a door we couldn’t exit, and a tap broken in the bathroom. We had to move rooms across to a different building which disrupted our first day, when we was checking in the reception man was less than helpful when we was asking about the local area. But we felt there wasn’t really an apology or acknowledgement of our issues. The cinema by the pool and trolley rides were great as was pool food.

Nice pool with movies . Food service was not good and the prices were very high for mediocre quality

Its a beautifully laid out resort located in Studio City so close to a lot of attractions in LA.

Lovely family room, gorgeous pool, friendly staff All great

Great location for Hollywood and Universal. Good atmosphere and pool. Very helpful staff. A few more options for vegetarians and kids meals in the bar and the restaurant would have been good.

The hotel is very nice and the staff are very friendly. If you main goal is to visit Universal Studios then this is the right hotel. They have a free shuttle to the park and it is not far away from the city.

My only criticism is that the rules at the pool aren't really enforced, the over 21's hot tub regularly had teenagers in it, and the family spa which was supposed to be no under 14's without a parent, was also filled regularly by young children without any parents in sight. We also saw people sitting in the hot tub eating pizza and crisps, which is just grim. Would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend this hotel to anyone, but would be nice to see guests being more respectful of their surroundings, and more responsible for their children at the pool.

Air conditioner was loud but we enjoyed everything about our stay.

Loved the retro 70’s tropical vibe. The room with a king bed was nice and the other hotel amenities like the restaurant, pool bar, gym, and courtyard area exceeded expectations. Easy drive to surrounding areas too.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Garland and can echo all the other fantastic reviews it has received. Our room was spotless, spacious and really comfortable. The bathroom was lovely, with a large shower and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The small fridge was also really handy for keeping drinks and snacks chilled. The pool area was fantastic and very well managed, with the number of guests being monitored to make sure it never felt overcrowded. We also ate at the bar a couple of times and thought the food was excellent, with good portions and very reasonable prices. The trolley to Universal runs every hour and made getting to the park an absolute breeze. The hotel is also really well located for exploring Hollywood and the wider LA area. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, which really added to the experience. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend The Garland. We’d happily stay here again!
