The pool and hot tubs are the perfect temperatures. Love the throwback vibe of the whole place. It’s well done and welcoming.

It’s a great place to stay for an old Hotel. It has a great vibe, but it comes at a price. It’s California so there taxes and fees for everything. Do a proper check out and review your bill. It will be hundreds more than you predicted. We continue to go back because of its location, and awesome pool and bar. Staff are fantastic, kind and welcoming.

The hotel was clean and rooms were tidy and inviting. We were there for a wedding and I would highly recommend the hotel for any celebration. The food was delicious and ballroom was beautiful. We will definitely come back to the hotel again

The hotel is well situated near Universal Studios and most people there seemed to be there for that reason. There is a free shuttle to the park. It is right off the 101 freeway. It is a very lively hotel with a pool and outdoor activities such a corn hole and Jenga available. The pool gets sun all day with very little shade and there are no umbrellas at the chairs but you can hide in the corner at a table for shade. Some umbrellas would be nice. The rooms were nice and clean however I found the bed to be way too soft and uncomfortable for my liking. I am an early riser from the east coast and it would have been nice to have a coffee station in the lobby. The restaurant doesn’t open until 7 and while there is coffee in the room I didn’t want to wake my husband. I found myself walking to a nearby store at 5:30 am which was annoying. The restaurant was good. Parking is a bit steep at $50 per day. All in all it was a good experience for this area.

Everything was beautiful and the staff was so helpful! Love the stay!

Breakfast here, an air conditioner is working really very good but it’s very close to the bed. Anyway, we were very tired from Universal Studios and it didn’t bother us. overall, it’s great place to stay.

Super unique property with friendly, helpful staff! The onsite restaurant, bar, and pool are great and the shuttle to Universal Studios is convenient.

This was such a great place. Very unique setting, with some history. The property has been well maintained. The pool area was very nice, and the hotel had one of the best gyms I've seen. Highly recommend staying here.

Our family of four has started at The Garland twice now, and we’ll definitely be back. We love the beautiful courtyard and movies by the pool. The food is delicious, and the staff is so helpful. Our kids love the open air trolley to Universal. Looking forward to our next stay!

We loved it and will be back!!!

This is my third time staying at the Garland and never again. Worst valet and least helpful staff. I was literally dragging 5 bags out by myself with staff passing me. Second valet actually loaded back of car with me as I loaded with him. Second one stood there doing nothing except throwing my clothes into backseat instead of hanging. Large dark pubic hair in shower so I guess they dont clean between clients.
