Clean room. Everything worked fine. The shower heat could be hotter. Staff was very helpful. Location very convenient.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. We had plentry of towels, soap, shampoos, very good towels too! Also loved that we didn't share walls with the other guests like in other motel/hotels. We didn't hear people walking around, banging doors, etc. It was very peaceful. Could have used a spare blanket, the one on the bed was very thin. The continental breakfast was non existent, they were out of coffee at 9am, but we didn't stay there for the breakfast.

I liked that there was parking right up front so we can park close to our hotel room. The staff were friendly. I wasn’t aware upon booking that the lot that the stay was in closed their gates at midnight which limited what we could partake in at night. Our room also had a cracked toilet which reduced the quality of my stay. Additionally, the front door also had significant damage like either water damage or pet was clawing it.

(I should also note here that for families with very young little kids, or elderly family members, a night time half mile walk to Universal Studios might not be a great idea, because after all it is a big city along a busy street and all that goes along with that, even if it is in a nice part of Los Angeles. If you do not have little kids or elderly family members and you feel comfortable walking around a big city at night, it’s probably okay.)

The staff was wonderful and very helpful, the complimentary coffee and muffins for breakfast were greatly appreciated, the room was very comfortable, and the hotel is within walking distance of Universal Studios. The hotel is farther from other attractions such as Santa Monica Pier, so transportation is needed, although this is simply due to the location and not a negative aspect of the property.

There was no full length mirror.

Fun quirky little space. Great proximity to a lot of awesome things. The handyman on properties particularly amusing. Had some issues with our shower, though, and the blinds in the room don’t close completely to block the enormous amount of light in the courtyard and drive space at night. Lost some of it’s gripping power over the years. Had to tape our blinds shut to sleep.

Groceries, food joints within walking distance, parking spaces provided. Xavier was very helpful and fun to talk to. Needed to keep an eye on time, as there is no late check-in.

Great location. Clean and convenient. Nothing

Excellent service!

Don't be misled by the "Wonderful" ratings and reviews. This is a 2 star motel in the middle of LA. The location is not safe and the motel keys have a written reminder to lock doors that leave an ominous sense about the neighborhood. We had hoped to drop off our bags while visiting Universal Studios, but the motel office did not have a concierge available until 1pm. The only attendant was a gardener who insisted that we pay him a tip for watching our luggage. He suggested that we walk to the amusement park which was terrible advice. The air conditioner left the room humid and sticky and had a smell of mold. You can find a 4-star hotel that is cheaper than this rob. Avoid.

around 8 bungalow style rooms. Below is a breakdown of the good and bad. The good - friendly staff Comfortable beds Locked gate at night Convient location Good rates Free parking The bad - Dirty floors Tight parking No breakfast as shown in description. Limited office staff if you need towels Etc. No office access unless you walk around the gate to the the other side of the property. One night I ordered a pizza after a long day. Because there are 2 matching room numbers it was delivered to the wrong one. I had to walk out on the street after dark and try and hunt down my food. The front desk somewhat begrudgingly let me walk through the office to the other side of the property. Overall this place is of good value, but don't expect a room as advertised f you reserve from Expedia. Chances are you will get a room at the property next door. Those rooms are not as nice in my opinion. This place is older and a bit run down but not bad for what you pay which was around $110 on weekdays and 188 on Friday. If you are looking for a very basic room for the night this place is of great value however, I would not stay again unless I was on the other side of the property.

I love it all! It was comfortable, quiet, a perfect little secluded room that was very homey. Maybe the only thing I didn't like was the parking garage. It's a first come first serve basis on who gets the structure. Larger vehicles will have a tight fit but we parked half way in it so we can get out and in anytime we needed. There are parking spots in front of the rooms as well.

The mirror is possibly a two-way mirror. There was no gap between my finger. Water damage had the bathroom door completely split and swollen on the bottom with obvious mold/rotting wood. The room smelled weird. Small hairs all over the bathroom floor.

Staff were friendly and attentive and the check in/out was really easy. Parking was safe/gated. Breakfast was either a muffin or packaged oatmeal, but the hotel was walking distance to really good food of all kinds. We walked to and from Universal studios and Xavier even gave us a printed map to walk there from the hotel. There IS a free shuttle for part of the way (the steep part). We would stay here again.

Everything was great and the room was clean. Xavier and Sean gave us the most welcoming experience me and my wife had ever had at a hotel.
-
Clean room and free parking are great
-
Accommodations were great. Microwave, fridge, a/c and 2 car slots in case one was taken. One exit/entrance. There is a high chance of a collision with other drivers if it were more busy.
-
The location is great if you’re visiting Universal. There’s parking in front of your room which is nice. The rooms are run down. There’s patches on the walls and dust everywhere.
