Beautiful location, everything you need was walking distance and the staff were incredibly friendly.

The staff were odd or downright creepy. Check-in felt off, asked me to send the booking.com confirmation because they don't know the price of the stay. We were then led through the lobby to the parking lot next door with rooms that looked nothing like the pictures. So definitely misleading, and pricey for what it ended up being. Check-out just topped it. We wanted to leave our luggage to go to Universal during the day. The guy said "sure, but you have to pay for it." I asked how much, to which he replied "if you sing me a song, I'll let you store your luggage." I was weirded out and tried to politely laugh it off, but he insisted, up to 4 times. He even "installed" himself in his chair with his arms crossed as if he was getting ready for a performance. I was extremely uncomfortable at this point, because I was by myself. When I refused for the fifth time, he said "okay, a good review is fine too." When we went to pick up the luggage later (or my boyfriend did, I didn't want to go in anymore) the other guy repeated "give us a good review okay?" The places that beg for good reviews usually don't deserve them. This one definitely doesn't. There's other places near Universal that are fairer in price and more professional. Don't waste your money on this one and get fooled by the pictures.

Great location for access to Universal Studios, clean room, comfortable bed AC was not effective at cooling the room on what was an extremely hot day
-
Ants and crickets inside the room
-
Only coffee is in office. Tea is also available there. Nowhere to hang clothes. Plenty of parking.

Great location. Very affordable. Refrigerator and microwave. Great air conditioner. Free on-site parking. Facilities were a little rough around the edges. Bathroom door was broken at the base and didn't close. Front door was secure but bottom edges were cracked and deteriorating. Floors were a little dirty -needed to be swept better and mopped.

It is only 12 minute walk to Universal Studios shuttle busses and the Metro Station. Hotel has free car parking, this is really bonus for Hollywood/Universal City area. (which i choose this hotel, i did not want to drive the rental car everywhere, walking and public transportation was bonus) The managing people are really friendly, helpful and nice to talk to. The Bed was so comfortable. With 12 minute walking you reach to Universal Studios shuttle and metro station BUT, 10 minutes of that 12 minutes, the area you walk through is not nice and not feeling good area. Homeless people are everywhere; on the pavement, at the bus stop or in front of the door of Walgreens, Ralph's. Yes they are harmless, but some of them ask money, or ask for a help. Also it does not make you feel good when you see half naked or drunk people lying on the ground. This is not comfortable for those people like us coming from European countries. We do not know the culture. and felt very insecure while we were walking with my daughter. (It was a "Mother and teen" trip) Manager of the hotel suggested us to call an Uber instead of walking to Universal Studios gate but we stayed there 6 nights and planned some of our days using metro for reaching Hollywood blvd. It was impossible to call Uber for every day, also cost wise. Also, the shop next door of the hotel is a "weed selling store". Yes it is legal in California to sell weed in the public store, not smoking outside but there were people smoking weed in the pavement and we had to walk through that store to reach Metro and Universal Studios :( There is no coffee machine in the room (at the reception, they make coffee in the mornings) No everyday housekeeping (you need to ask for it, and i guess this came with pandemic, stayed at three hotels during this trip, all 3 of them had the same cleaning issue) Lots of Ants in the bathroom ground and small spiders on the ceiling were in the room but that didn't really disturb me, disturbed my teen daughter. When we arrived at night, the hotel Manager wanted me to email the booking.com confirmation to him. This was strange!
