We had a very strange experience here and wouldn't recommend it. We arrived and were immediately confused upon entering the lobby, because there were signs indicating this was the "KC Inn" rather than Baymont by Wyndham. We even had to ask if we were in the right place. They confirmed that yes, this was Baymont by Wyndham. We proceed with trying to check in, and there's some issue with the king room we reserved. They offer us a double bed. We explain that we need a King bed like we reserved, or at least a Queen. It takes at least 10 minutes for them to find a King room for us. We then had to drive around the parking lot to a separate building, which immediately upon entering smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The hallway floors were filthy, lights flickering like a horror movie, and again, signs on the walls stating "KC Inn". We arrive at our room and our key card won't work. At this point we were over it and just booked a last-minute stay at another hotel. If that's what the halls looked and smelled like, we were skeptical about the condition of the room anyway. We honestly felt like we had been catfished by the Expedia posting. It certainly didn't feel like a Wyndham property, let alone the fact that everywhere you looked you saw "KC Inn". It felt like they gave the front lobby a facelift and neglected the rest of the property. Super disappointed.

Nothing Rude , racist and not safe

The manager has a crappy attitude and she was training while so many people were waiting to check in and cussing at the front desk! Nothing to eat around the place either. Nice bed though.

The bathtub was nice The lights kept going out, it was dirty, the doorhandle in the bathroom was broken, we had a conjoined room without our knowledge, there was no fridge or microwave, the vending machines don’t work, the staff said they couldn’t do anything about any of it

It was okay. The hotel/ staff was not having the best day bc they had issues with their system? So us & about 8 others guests were waiting in the lobby to check in while they figured out which room was available & not. We did wait for about 1 1/5 hours to be able to check in.. We were in no hurry, so we were okay with waiting while it was still annoying, but wasn’t an huge deal. Other guest were not very happy tho. We finally got a room & they moved a mini fridge in for us bc our room didn’t have one. The building we stayed at did smell like smoke.. over all it was fine, but don’t think I’d stay again. Wish the staff (there was about 6 of them up front figuring out the system on the computer) would tell us what was going on & been more accommodating & more apologetic, & maybe even given us a discount. I’d say I’d give it 2.5/5 stars

Staff was very unprofessional. They didn’t know how their system worked, and got very frustrated. One hung up on the person on their help desk and said she was about to walk out. Room was musty. Damp almost.

I arrived late at night but did not have any issues beds were comfortable

Everything was newly remodeled, beds were decent and price was good for the stay . Only complaint was that they switched to a new system and took a long time to check in besides that it was a good place to stay the night .

The room itself appeared surface-clean, but it definitely needed a deeper cleaning. The headboard and nightstands needed to be thoroughly wiped down. There were also no washcloths or toilet paper provided in the room upon arrival. I also noticed some inconsistencies with the room amenities. The microwave was sitting on top of the mini refrigerator, and there was no desk or designated workspace. During my stay, I noticed that the amenities and room setup do not appear to be consistent from one room to another. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable, and I had no complaints about the comfort of the bed itself. However, for a three-day stay, having no housekeeping service is unacceptable, particularly when basic supplies were missing. Overall, the front desk staff provided great customer service, but the housekeeping, cleanliness, and consistency of room amenities need significant improvement.

The service was extremely poor. I drove all the way from Minneapolis to Kansas City, only to be told upon arrival, after having a reservation for many hours, that no rooms were available. After waiting for an hour, they placed my family and me in a dirty room that appeared to be under construction or maintenance. The room smelled like cigarettes, had no refrigerator, and they didn’t even provide a small bottle of water. I was shocked and deeply disappointed. I have never experienced anything like this in all my years living in the USA. I was dissatisfied with the room and the carpet; the breakfast was very poor, and the overall service was disappointing.
