Continental Lodge

Staff was very friendly and accommodating - I was looking for a bottle opener at around 10 PM and thought to ask the front desk and they were kind enough to look around their office to find me one. Rooms are very clean and smell nice!

I have to give this property one star because of the neighborhood it's in. I was safe because I took an Uber there and back from the Amtrak station but you can't go off the property because of the unsafe neighborhood. There were prostitutes on the corner adjacent to the hotel! I did get the TV, hot shower, and good night's sleep I needed though.

I don’t like the location.

The desk person was responsive and helpful, but it was just one person tasked to do all the customer interactions. The location in town was central, but it was in a run-down neighborhood. The photos online were not false, but they failed to capture the run-down feel of the motel and its surroundings. Still, it is probably a good place to flop after a night of raving. The neighborhood was trashy. As we drove up, and then as we walked to our room, it was clear that the hotel was a working space for numerous lightly-garbed "business women." Although the rooms were superficially clean, the smells of use and of cleaning agents were strong, and I did not trust my head to lie on the pillow. After registering, we went to the room and did not feel at all good about it. But the wifi worked well! So we immediately got back on Booking.com and quickly found a place that was modestly more expensive but a vastly better stay. The manager refunded all but the first night's fee. The chief lesson I learned was, if I find myself at a place that is at all questionable, I will ask to see see the room before I pull out my credit card.

The motel staff was rude and kept my cash deposit of $50 . He was admitted about the cash deposit and during check out I wa more concerned about missing my uber than the deposit . It’s very loud at night

For budget prices, I expect a budget hotel, and this place delivered quality for the price I paid. The location is sketchy and felt somewhat unsafe; the alley behind the hotel is filled with trash and debris. However the hotel room itself had plenty of space and basic amenities that met all needs for a single night stay. The bed was quite comfortable, though the pillows were hard and flat (glad I brought my own from home). The room's cleanliness was up to standard. I appreciated the in-room microwave and refrigerator. Value for dollar, Continental Lodge wins, in spite of its location.
