Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Oakland-Airport by IHG

Facility was clean and organized. Room was clean and the amenities were of good quality. Ample parking.

Tyrone was very helpful from day one.this hotel is now booked mark for whenever I come back to Oakland.. staff was very helpful and accommodating.

I had a great stay. The few interactions with the staff were great. No complaints! Thank you for a plesant clean stay.

Also, I called the front desk around 6am on my departure date to change the shuttle time from 9:15 to 10:15, However, when I went to the lobby around 10:05 to wait for the shuttle, the front desk clerk said no one recorded a 10:15 time for my departure. So the clerk called the company to request the shuttle which came about 15-20 minutes later, making me not able to get some food at the airport. This morning, I called regarding an erroneous charge on my credit card because I wrote my departure date on the parking sign-up sheet as the date I was leaving instead of the date I was returning the car. Thus, I was charged for 2 nights of parking instead of one. The same clerk who called the shuttle for me answered the phone and he said he would refund $20 to my credit card. He also said he was the same person who called the shuttle on Aug 12, and when I complained about my name not being on the list for the 10:15 shuttle, he said I was on the list for 10:15 which was not true, as he had to call the shuttle. When I asked for his name and spelled it for me, he kept hesitating and didn't want to keep repeating the spelling which sounded different each time.

Breakfast was delicious each day

Literally everything. The woman working the desk at night (heart glasses) was beyond incredible - give this woman a raise. Very clean, as always. My family felt as safe. Would definitely stay here if we ever visited again. Zero complaints.

Safe and clean hotel. Breakfast included good. The highlight without question is the Manager Tyron! So professional, knowledgeable, and amazing attitude. One of the best, I encountered. I’m on the road all the time. Holiday Inn is very lucky to have him.

Really convenient location for the Oakland Arena and a nearby park/marina for walking. Unfortunate to have to pay nightly for parking but it’s risky to not park it on the property. Good free breakfast spread too and spacious room. Overall a good experience for my short stay.

Staff were the absolute best, rooms were very nice for the price, and breakfast was also good!

Elevator...scary ?

When I checked in, the receptionist at the check-in counter accidentally gave me a room that wasn't ready. When I got to the first room (263) it wasn't clean yet. I spoke to the room service manger who was nearby and she switched me to room 264.

Evening and night staff was aweful. Hotel was loud ans busy

Breakfast was very not breakfast

Hotel needs more items in pantry/ market / vending. Parking is way too expensive.

Would have requested a different room if stay was longer due to the first floor location adjacent to the washing machines and drying activities going on next door.
