It's okay area was dirty

When I arrived to check in, the manager, Manny, made what should have been a simple process extremely unpleasant. He was confrontational, dismissive, and unwilling to assist me. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he made the entire check-in experience stressful and upsetting. I reserved and paid for a standard room. I even showed him my reservation confirmation, yet he refused to accommodate the room I had booked and instead assigned me a room of his choosing. I did not feel that my concerns were heard or respected. What made the experience even more troubling was that I couldn’t help but question whether I was treated differently because I am African American. As I looked around, most of the other guests appeared to be Caucasian or Hispanic, and I did not receive the same level of courtesy or professionalism that I observed being given to others. While I cannot say for certain that race played a role, the experience left me feeling singled out and disrespected. No guest should leave a hotel feeling the way I did. I expected professionalism, respect, and the room I reserved. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and deeply disappointed. Because of this experience, I will not be staying at your hotel again. I hope you will take this complaint seriously, review the interaction, and ensure that future guests are treated with the respect and fairness they

Hotel is hyped up pictures look way better than property itself. Old and dingy

Hotel is very well maintained, rooms are big and clean. Would stay here again.

Sketchy people in the lobby area but it is Oakland

Cooperative front desk staff who allowed us to check in early. The room was clean and comfortable. We were able to do our laundry and head on our way. Shuttle service was very convenient.
