Dunes Court

Classic beach hotel. Loved the retro vibes. AC unit wasn’t working when we arrived but was quickly remedied. So, not really “what I didn’t like” but I don’t really have anything negative to say.

I've stayed in plenty of rough places, and the Dunes Court is the worst of them. The cockroaches don't hide in corners. They roam the walls as if they're the ones paying for the room. The heat doesn't work. Instead of fixing it or moving us, they handed us a tiny space heater that smells like formaldehyde. There's no hot water either. My wife ended up on her knees rinsing her hair in freezing water from the tub faucet, and she went more than two days without a proper shower. The carpet is covered in stains. The outlets flicker and flash like a strobe light whenever you plug something in, and I'm epileptic, so that's a real seizure risk. We asked the front desk several times to let us check out early and go somewhere livable. Every time they refused and repeated their 72-hour refund policy. You don't find out there's no heat or hot water until you check in, so that policy protects their money, not guests. Then came the runaround. The hotel said it couldn't help because we booked through Expedia. Expedia said it needed the hotel's approval. When Expedia called the hotel, the hotel said no. The most they offered was $100, which doesn't come close to covering another room on a beach weekend. They know what shape these rooms are in and keep renting them anyway. Sleeping in your car would be warmer, cleaner, and have fewer roommates.

Close to boardwalk Nothing

Came for Oceans Calling. Staff made the trip! The ladies were kind, compassionate and helpful and greeted us with a smile each morning! Thank you Angelica, Jazmin and Jasmi!

It was a nice clean quiet atmosphere for my stay. Great location and close to everything!

Great location! Just a few steps from the boardwalk and beach. Pool area was very nice with tables, lounges and umbrellas. Washrooms in need of updating. Very old, with low water pressure and poor drainage in shower and sink. Overall good value for the price!

Great location for going on the boardwalk. Dressers were not good to put your clothes into. Because the dresser drawers got wet at some point. So the smell from drawers would make ur clothes smell bad.

Exceptional

Convenient location. The out side shower was phenomenal with the water pressure. Staff were friendly, which was a pleasant surprise. Obviously a bit outdated the rooms but overall very good. Something that would be helpful in the rooms are hooks on walls to hang things up on.

Friendly and Safe

Location was great. Close to alot of stores, restaurants, and the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were fine. A little outdated but not a big deal. Parking was a little hectic. And the stairs were very narrow, only 1 person could go up/ down at a time.
