The fridge in the room didn’t get cold, so they brought a “new” one that didn’t work either. Both fridges ended up being cold the day we checked out. They don’t allow you to control your own room temperature. Our room was set to 60 and we froze while in there after being out in the heat and sun all day! They have one remote to control every air conditioner so you can’t adjust as needed. They did turn it up to 67 but it was still pretty cold at night.

The hotel staff was very helpful. Room was very clean and smelled fresh. For whatever reason though, our room (#112) had lots of flies in it? We spent a bunch of time just trying to kill them so they wouldn't bother us at night. Haven't had this problem at other hotels in OC. Very convenient location near the beach and at the end of the boardwalk.

The staff was super kind and helpful. The hotel location near Mark 27 of the boardwalk is an EASY walk to the ocean. The beds are firm. The room has a window unit for AC which might not give you the 65 degrees you might crave at a hotel/motel. The sink faucet spout was designed too difficult to wash your hands under, the sink curves upwards into a small area. The body towels are smaller in length than expected, unfortunately very thin. However, this was a one night stay for the boardwalk and ocean location. The cost was lower than other spots. No need for ocean view when you are just there to sleep. The classic old location was just comfortable enough for an easy stay. Actually would recommend this. I didn’t write this with AI or get paid to write this.

Our room looked clean at first glance, but the room smelled like straight up mold!! We made a complaint on the first night (we were the ones very nice and apologetic btw), and was told they would send house keeping over to check out the room and to possibly move us. That did not happen. Throughout our stay, we would keep our door open to try and ventilate the room. We planned on staying until 11am on check out day, but the smell of mold was so exasperating, we left at 7am instead. Now my family and I all have stuffing noses and itchy bodies from sleeping in mold air. The AC also didn’t work. We would have requested a refund, but the money wouldn’t have been processed right away, and we were already on a tight budget and wouldn’t have had the funds to books somewhere else. At least the pool was nice.

No elevator and the hallways to the stairwells are very narrow. Making it difficult when people are coming up or going down. Every lampshade had mold around the rim on the inside. The sink wouldn’t drain properly. The blanket/ sheets were dingy yellow stained. The staff were friendly though but the place definitely needs to put some money back into it for a better stay and for as much as we paid for 2 days at $477… it should be better.

Great place to stay for small family. Very active place with easy access to the beach and north end of the boardwalk. Outdoor pool as wonkey hours (10am - 8pm) but other than that great place

Staff were friendly. Close to beach. That’s the end of the positives. Rooms smelled like mold. We booked 2 rooms, one had no working ac and smelled horribly moist and musty. Switched rooms, ac worked but the smell was awful. It leached into every item, even plastic bags and food. Have cleaned everything at home, tossed stuff out, washed clothes twice and I still smell it. I can’t believe we breathed that air for five nights. Note: Location- Right on the boardwalk but at the hotel end, not the shops and rides. It’s a 2 mile walk to the action. The pool closes at 8. Not much to do in the evening.

Great staff. The room was okay for our two day stay. You could see under the door though so a new seal needs to be added. The location felt safe and parking was easy. Short walk to the beach. The pool looked great. We never had the chance to swim in it. Definitely quieter at the end of the boardwalk and way less crowds.

But no more than 2 nights. I had my phone plugged in next to the bed...Tried to unplug it and the outlet cam out of the socket. Air conditioner worked but venting was broken. Could see sun coming in from the cracks around the front door. Didn't feel secure.

Decently clean room. My son and I were quite comfortable. The pool was nice. Adequate overflow parking when the main lot got full. Half a block from the beach.

The room was pretty clean and the bed was comfy. Staff made sure our trash was taken and towels replaced daily. The balcony was chill and parking was ample. It was like 50 steps from the beach with was the best part :)

Upon entering the room, the sheets were dirty due to black stuff coming out of the AC. We informed the front desk and they had someone to clean it. They also switched our room. The room smelled a little musty, but other than that everything was OK.

Not a bad hotel, especially for the price. However, cleaning staff came in to take out trash but did not offer clean towels or additional toilet paper that was needed.
