Seabonay Oceanfront Motel

I had a great stay at the Motel. My wife and I call it the hidden secret. The motel is close to everything, clean, and the house keepers would ask do you need anything! I’m definitely going back soon to the same Motel.

pool was clean. room was pretty clean but can use a carpet cleaning. room smelled good. perfect view of the beach!!

Honestly the Google reviews really scared me but we had a great stay over 4th of July. It’s definitely a beach motel vibe so don’t expect a 5 star hotel experience, but you can expect a decent stay all around.

The room was underwhelming. We paid for a beach/ ocean view and had a room on the first floor with a dune view. When asked for a different room we were denied and were told to go through the Expedia app. It would have cost more to cancel the room! The pictures of the were over exasperated and left us with higher expectations.

We stayed for 4 nights, the staff was really friendly but i will say that the amenities need a lot of upgrading. the flooring was almost dry rotted and mildewed, the floor felt damp and had a smell to it. the tv was extremely old with no HMDI port so no ability for us to hook up our fire stick. the AC in the room was really good and was cold but it still felt wet and sticky in the room. the bathroom was not really clean, there was a lot of mold looking stuff on the mirrors and the toilet had cracks all over it. we even found one of the towels they gave us had yellow/brown stains all over it. we also asked for a do not disturb flag for the room, and when we had came back one day we noticed our room had been touched and we were never notified when we asked for no housekeeping. the day we were supposed to check out we were woken up by continuous knocking at 9 AM and as my boyfriend was getting out of bed to get the door, someone from the hotel staff had some sort of master key and opened our door (it was bolted) but still got it half open and we went out to ask them why they were trying to get into our room and we were told that “someone told them we were already gone” when we had not checked out and it was 9 AM. so overall i would say this stay was good if you aren’t going to spend much time in the room, but if it’s in the budget i would pay a little extra to stay somewhere else because we sure wish that we did.

Clean, quaint..right next to the beach. Pool was very nice, however no shade, so umbrellas would be perfect. Staff was wonderful! Beach was nice; quiet area which was perfect for our family. The outdoor picnic area and bbq grills were awesome. Was it built in 2026? No.. but great price for family friendly, clean accommodations! They also have complimentary board games and a selection of ice cream for purchase in the office 24/7. Highly recommend and will be back next year!

Close to the beach. When it rained we had a ceiling leak and the toilet broke. But they were able to change our room for us.

Check in was very helpful. Had a problem with my room and they gave me another room with the beach view with no problem.

Stay away from this dump unless you want to smell skunk weed and have no help offered to you with luggage if you're disabled.

Girls at check in they are great.i did a mistake on my reservation and they help me with that .also let me in the room and use parking lot earlier

Very nice

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only issue I had was the smell in the room and how dry the air felt. There was a strange odor that never really went away, so I would often leave the door open to air the room out. I also think the property could use a few updates, like replacing some of the carpets and refreshing parts of the rooms. Other than the smell and the need for some updates, everything else was good, and I enjoyed my stay. I would consider staying here again.

Very polite and kind staff. Allowed us to check in early. We were only left with 1/2 roll.of toilet paper and no extra so my only complaint would be to have an extra. Besides that we lived our stay. Great location. We'll be back!

Get what you pay for but overall good stay

our recent stay in Room 306 from Wednesday, June 17, 2026 through Sunday, June 21, 2026 Wednesday evening, when we returned to our room to relax, we discovered that the television and lamp/light were not working. My husband, attempted to reset the GFI switch in the bathroom, but the television and light still would not work. We went to the front desk, and maintenance was sent to our room. The maintenance worker confirmed that the outlet was not receiving electricity. He then brought us an extension cord and plugged the television and lamp into an outlet located on the wall by the bathroom door.Unfortunately, this created a major inconvenience for our family during the remainder of our stay. Because everything had to run from one outlet, the television, lamp, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, chargers, and other devices all had to share that single outlet. We constantly had to unplug one item to use another, whether it was to run the microwave, make coffee, charge an iPad.. Additionally, the extension cord had to run across the bathroom doorway floor. Every time we needed to use the bathroom, both during the day and throughout the night, we had to step over the cord, creating a tripping hazard. The bathroom door was also so tight to the floor that it was extremely difficult to close it over the extension cord, to the point that we often had to use the bathroom with the door open.This situation was especially concerning because, because my child is on life sustaining medication that is required to remain cold at all times. Because of that, we could never unplug the refrigerator under any circumstances.While the maintenance worker was in our room Wednesday evening, he advised that he would fix the outlets while we were gone this never occured and we continued to trip over and extention cord our entire stay.
