Ocean Lodge Hotel North

I stayed here with my sister for the weekend. The check in process was slow because they only had one employee at the desk. However the staff was courteous and respectful. The room was decorated nicely (really cute!) and clean. The property is well maintained. The rooms don't have an iron or coffee maker. It's just a couple of short blocks to the beach/boardwalk. Lots of restaurants nearby (in walking distance). Overall great stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Upon arrival, there was no place to park and a bunch of guys getting high in the parking lot. Room was clean, bathroom a decent size and the air conditioner was great. But the beds were not great-we didn’t sleep at all. For a one night stay, we survived but mostly like wouldn’t stay again

Filthy room with filthy floors that made my husband's feet black when he walked barefoot. Stained comforters....no toiletries. I had to go to the desk to make a request for a bar of soap. Just shy of$300 a night was a complete rip off this this third rate hotel. Everything

The staff were amazing!!! Just had to call to get them to come to the office but otherwise our stay was so amazing.

The beach and boardwalk were walking distance and parking on property.

Apparently, the owners own multiple locations in the area, and the GPS took us to the wrong building. When I called the property to ask for assistance, the owner seemed incredibly annoyed, kept telling me to just walk to the office. I kept trying to explain to her I didn’t know where the office was. I sent her a picture of where we were to give her a better idea to try and get better directions and her response is what are you doing way over there then seeming very agitated she said I’ll send someone to get you. Once we made it to the actual building, she started explaining all the fees. There was a nonrefundable $65 to reserve the room which I knew about a $100 deposit fee and then the total cost of the room which would all be charged upon check-in. And I had not even seen the room yet. When I began questioning the fees and the fact I was going be charged before our stay began she became irritated with me and said don’t question how I do my business. I said fine. I don’t think I wanna stay here. She said fine. I don’t want you to stay here either. So I left. So much for trying to support local business.

Privacy and space They need more comfy pillows and quiet hours.

Location was great - very close to beach and boardwalk etc The office was closed after 6pm which was not listed in the details and policies . Checkin starts at 3pm and we arrived around 6:45 to check in for the night. No one was there and we had to call the property and wait for someone to return to location to let us in.

The staff were very welcoming and ensure my needs were met. The place actually exceeded my expectations. The room was very neat, and shops were all around the corner. I will definitely be returning at my leisure.

There’s shops close by that are open pretty late. Smash burgers on 8th street, Mcdonald’s, Shops on the boardwalk. Rooms are always Clean and Neat. This building is newly renovated but if you’re looking for something a little cheaper and still close to the beach they have a building next door where you can get ice and complimentary coffee ( i believe you can still get them in the new building as well) don’t pass by this gem. it’s worth staying here.

Close walk to the beach, parking on site for no extra cost, and friendly front desk staff. We were placed in the handicap room with a shower that was only 4 feet tall. My partner and I made the most of it though!

Room was very clean. It is a smaller room, but perfect for a short stay.
