The Wellington Hotel & Suites Oceanblock

This hotel felt like a warm hug for weary travelers. Steps from the boardwalk and no need to cross any busy streets. Window AC units were efficient, larger personal fridge, clean private bathrooms, spacious parking and very friendly/helpful staff. There is no elevator so I had to make several trips to carry my parents belongings to their room on the 2nd floor. This is just something to consider. I liked the hotel very much and didn't mind not having a private balcony. My only suggestion is that the rooms and bathrooms need hooks for hanging items like a jacket/pocketbook, etc. There are no hooks. Still, this hotel is a really sweet place and in a great location!

Very clean, nicely renovated and location, location, location! Perfect!

We have stayed here the last 3 years. We like to come down for one night for the white Marlin Open. We don't require allot of creature comforts, we need proximity to amenities. We get that here at the Wellington for a good price. Staff are always helpful and pleasant to deal with.

My husband and I were there this week. This was one of the best vacations we have had. The staff were so kind and attentive. The room was always clean and the hotel was well maintained. We will definitely be coming back next year.

I like how the management accommodates the customers

The room was very clean and very close to the beach! This is the second year we’ve stayed. Nice place!

Beware: even if Travelocity says kids stay free, they do not. Upon check-in we were charged an extra $50 for our 10-year old. I didn’t argue since we were very tired after the drive. The room was clean and the sheets were nice. The AC worked well. (It is a window unit). There were holes in the floor, under the carpet. We almost tripped on them. The walls are very thin. I could hear the tv from the room next to ours all night, as if it was playing in our room.

Cons: no counter/surface area in the bathrooms, mid water pressure in the shower, shower stall only, so keep in mind if you're bringing little kids. The wooden stairwell outside going up to the second floor feels like it's listing away from the building and needs some maintenance, not handicap accessible on upper floors at all, thin walls

It was convenient for beach lovers..

The hotel was that perfect “just a place to sleep” kind of hotel. It wasn’t a room you’d want to be spending too much time in. It’s very simple, and has what you need inside. It had a comfy bed, a shower, and a cable tv. It was also cleaned daily by staff, which was great. It did have an additional door/room with a couch that was attached. That was nice while staying there with my kiddo. My son and I would definitely come back!

Nice place to stay. Before making reservations understand there is no elevator. No problem for us, but could be for others.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The property was quiet and well maintained. As close as you can get to the Boardwalk without being directly in the hustle and bustle.

It’s a good spot if you’re just looking to lay your head down

The room was small but provided everything I needed for my stay, including a good-sized refrigerator. The staff was friendly. The hotel was quiet, very clean, and conveniently located just a block from the Boardwalk. I appreciated that they provided coffee in the mornings. I would definitely stay here again!

Next to boardwalk; easy walk to beach & places to eat. Room was very small but functional. Well worth the price paid. Rooms need blackout shades, had to hang blankets over blinds that don’t provide privacy.

The staff were very helpful. The property was kept clean, quiet, within walking distance to tge beach. Plenty of parking space.
