The Americana Hotel

I felt like I was at home.

It was right in front of the beach and out room had a nice in room hot tub

The check-in was seamless with the exception of finding out three days before our arrival that they decided to charge ten dollars a day for parking. The parking spaces are narrow and without security cameras. They need to install them if they're going to charge for parking. The room was clean, but the ice bucket was dirty inside and without plastic, and the freezer part of the refrigerator had food frozen inside the frost. There was no bar soap or caffeinated coffee. The staff was friendly and made it all right. The property is in an excellent location for beach access.

Overall stay was great. Was very pleased and thankful with staff, Anita at the reception was very helpful and assisted very well, her great customer service was very professional

Property itself is outdated, but serviceable. You get what you pay for. When we booked, and needed a one-night stay, it was a more affordable option given the boardwalk location in downtown OC.

Location was nice . slowest elevator. Had a great view of a brick wall on my balcony.

We had a great time. Room was spacious and the AC was nice and cold. The only thing I could say was that inside the pool area wish could’ve been a bit cooler since it’s summer time. But overall we would for sure book again.

I loved the new look of the hotel from the lobby to start it was very high in and beautiful. The fragrance throughout the hotel on every floor was very nice. The room was super impressive with amazing looking furniture and a really cool looking headboard. Very clean and the beach view was excellent. The staff were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Incredible time, location was perfect. Parking was rough but better than expected, extra lot is across the street….if you can’t walk a block….why even bother staying on the boardwalk. I’ll definitely be back.

This has been my 4th year staying with this hotel. The ocean front rooms are absolutely amazing, the views and the location on the boardwalk is great. I come for a week every year, with my best friend and her 2 kids, who I consider my niece's. The kids love the pool, the balcony, and the places around like hammerheads restaurant. We will continue to book here, because it feels like home. Its affordable, clean and the staff are always nice and accommodating. I have never had a problem the last 4 years.

Front desk staff and other staff we encountered in the hotel were all very friendly. They always greet the guests. It was clean except for the rug in the room looked stained. The shower curtain liner was questionable. The backside of the curtain had unknown red and brown streaks on it. Parking is tight. Location on the board walk was good but didn't like being over the bar/restaurants. Their spot lights were pointed towards our balcony and we couldn't sit out there at night or leave our curtain open. The bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable.

Lovely place very nice staff inside pool when it rained room was big N/A
