The Americana Hotel

Overall - I would stay there again! Directly on the boardwalk and access to everything needed.

It was a great location!

They weren't upfront with the parking before arriving. There is a very tight parking lot at the property but not enough for everyone. They have another lot about 2 blocks away. If you have a larger vehicle it is very difficult to get in and out of the spots. The staff was friendly and helpful if you needed something. The property inside was clean but the outside could use some work. The handrail on our balcony was loose because the bolt was pulling out of the wall. I would think if you were financially responsible for a property and responsible for your guest well being this would be a priority.

Strange strong/pungent smells in hallways which seemed to come from sprayers on the walls. Equally strange and strong smell bordering on gross at times coming in and out of the doors to the beach. Why is the smoking area directly where i need to walk in? I walked through so many clouds of smoke simply getting in and out of the hotel. No where else. Toilets flush slow/ kinda clogged acting. Fixtures falling off walls in bathroom due to moisture and poor fan ventilation. Also it would be great to have a broom to be able to sweep up sand off to one side. The whole entrance was terribly gritty and I was hand sweeping and laying towels down.

The room had a fridge which was nice to keep drinks nice and cold or to refrigerate leftovers. Hotel was just steps from the beach and shops. Everything was great, no complaints; just wish the bed was comfy.

We liked that they had parking at a fee of course. No breakfast offered. Beds were not that comfortable. It worked for one night.

Location is amazing. It’s a decent hotel. Not the top end but it is Affordable. It’s clean enough and they’ve been replacing things over the years. It’s getting better.

I was very surprised by the hotel; it was clean, comfortable, and the rooms were actually HUGE.

The last night we were there the a/c went out. Front desk said we had to wait till the next day. There was no manager or maintenance guy on duty. 85 degrees in a room sucks

The only problem was where the elevators were too slow.

I liked it was on the boardwalk, accessible to places to dine and amusement, the hotel is clean but could use some updates. Building Security could be better,

the Ocean view was literally a full view from our balcony! the hotel parking lot is a bit tight, but we were allowed to park early with our reservation and the $10.00 fee to park before check in.. this was a HUGE plus for us. staff was so nice and professional and the property was cleaner than i expected for being right on the boardwalk
