The Americana Hotel

Location No hot water

This hotel was in the perfect location for us. Being right on the boardwalk at 10th St puts us right in the middle of our typical boardwalk destinations. The staff was very helpful and friendly, always greeting us with a smile whether we were on the way out or returning. I was surprised that they charged $10/day for parking. I can maybe see if we needed to park an extra car, but we had one car for two rooms. I don't recall ever being charged for parking at any other Ocean City hotel. While there is an excellent view from the ocean-view balconies, each one has an exceedingly bright light that comes on automatically, either by time or amount of daylight. There's no switch to turn it off. We found that it negatively affected the nighttime viewing experience both due to the brightness of the light and that it attracts a lot of flying bugs that quickly become a nuisance. It should have a switch.

Right on boardwalk. Convenient to everything. Dedicated parking lot. Felt safe. No safes - lockboxes in room. Everything had a drop ceiling. Saw either black mildew or mold in shower. What else is hiding up there?

Ample parking for the busy weekend. Room was great, clean, ready before check in time, and everything we needed. The view was great and location was also phenomenal to the festival. Beds were comfortable and AC was properly working. The customer service at check in was also perfection. Franco is the best. Cannot wait to stay here in the future. Thank you all for everything. N/A

N/A Closet space

Very nice staff. Room was super clean Pool was very small and overly crowded. The water was so warm that it grossed us out. We don’t typically go to the beach to use a pool but our child wanted to jump in for a little.

I love that the hotel is right by the beach/boardwalk. It was my 2nd time staying there and this time around I had to run the pipe for 10 minutes before receiving hot water and the tub was not cleaned properly. I was going to take a picture to post, but because my first experience was great, I decided against it.
