The Shore House

The room was extremely small as is the toilet. It is not tall person friendly. Otherwise, the room was okay.

This place screamed "motel". The room smelled kind of mildewy, probably because of high humidity, but the bed was reasonably comfortable and it was overall clean. There were ants on the counter where the breakfast display was in the morning - would have been a nice touch to swipe them away so guests weren't distracted by them when picking out a bagel or grabbing silverware. I didn't check out the pool or jacuzzi, but those might have been nice amenities. Note that this hotel is about a 15 min drive from Ocean CIty.

Great location

In a pinch it served its purpose, however there were ants crawling on the counter by the “breakfast”, the toaster didn’t work well at all. I toasted my bagel 3 times (yes the setting was set right) and it slightly warmed the bagel, no ice scooper in the ice machine, the toilet is so close to the floor and the sink was uncomfortably low as well. The pillows were the size of decorative couch pillows. The entrance to the pool is on the opposite side of the Shore House closest to the Microtel that is on the same property.

There was nothing "Deluxe" about the room whatsoever. There is no one working reception or security at night and other guests stand outside their rooms all night partying making it impossible to get any sleep. I wouldn't return if they offered it free.

This is a lengthy review. When I searched for a hotel, The Shore House came up. This is NOT a hotel. It should be considered a Motel. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t fantastic either. The beds were like the picture and floors were ok. Now, the bathroom was a MESS! I had lots of mold specs in the ceiling. They shouldn’t have even sold this room. I had to wait several hours for someone to come to look at it. Also, the light fixture cover was off in the bathroom. So it was like a small hole in the wall. When maintenance came they scrubbed the ceiling a bleach….lots of it. It was fixed but while on vacation I don’t want to have to deal with that and for the amount I paid, my stay should’ve been much better. I actually want some compensation from Expedia wand will try to get it because I wasn’t happy at all. The bathroom door also looked like it had been kicked in but the feds! I just made the best of it. 😢😩😢

For the price it’s perfectly fine especially with how expensive ocean city is. It was just me and my son so the room was good enough for us. Cleanliness was ok. The bed was clean and most of the room. There was ants so had to be very careful with leaving food or drinks out. Shower had hair in it from someone and I get grossed out by that but nothing you couldn’t just rinse down.

It’s Ocean City’s best kept secret. It’s affordable and clean. The bedding is comfortable and the property is safe.

It was a clean simply room. A bit older but good fair price, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Nothing fancy but was just fine.

Rooms were clean but smaller. No microwave or microfridge in my room. Bathroom was good size. Pool is shared but nice and one is a hot tub. Breakfast was minimal, yogurts, muffin, cereal and okay bagels. No waffles or hot food. Okay stay for a night or two. Takes about 10-20 minutes to get to the boardwalk though due to traffic, otherwise without traffic it would be about a 5 minute ride. Near a food lion and places to eat.

Mosquitoes and flies all over the room. Bathroom was not cleaned properly, stain all over the wall, chrome are not clean and polished. Ants all over the breakfast area. We asked for refund but expedia couldn’t reach out to them for approval. Overall it was a very terrible experience

Second time saying here and it was just as awesome as the first time! Clean - friendly staff - nice rooms.

Check in was easy and the front desk attendant was very nice. Room was clean but it was extremely small. If I would have known how small the room was, I would’ve booked a bigger room. No one in the office in the mornings so couldn’t get coffee or breakfast. Parking was good. We had to leave a day early due to our pet sitter not being able to check on our dog so I had to walk over to the next hotel, Microtel, and explain the situation but she was not able to help besides saying she would let whoever know when they came in. Would have been nice to be able to talk to someone and try to get a partial refund on the last night we were supposed to be there and charged for because we left at 8:00 a.m. It was a good price on the stay and clean room despite my complaints.
