Location Mildew smell, not clear that 2C had no in room bathroom. Not a bed and breakfast (all electronic - no staff). No beach passes as advertised.
-
Great location if you are doing anything in Neptune, Ocean Grove, Asburry Park area. Plenty of free parking. By the beach. Looks like it needs some maintenance/upkeep work.
-
The location was perfect for going to the beach and nightlife. Neighbors were a little rude and unwelcoming.
-
A cozy firm bed, the considerate nightlight in the bathroom, the mini fridge, portable heater. The blinds by the bed didn’t keep out the bright outside light in neighbor’s backyard.

For the second time in a row, I showed up and I didn’t have a room assigned. The first time they didn’t put my key code in the door so I was waiting outside at 9pm on the phone with customer service. My shower took forever to figure out how to work, and there were ants all in the bottom. I booked here several times since I travel for work, in support for local business, and the one day I couldn’t make it due to the snow, the refused to refund me. I won’t be coming back unfortunately.

Location Floors very loud and creaky. Hard get a hold of someone for problems/questions.
-
Gorgeous neighborhood of historic Victorian houses right on a pond and steps from the beach.

Stayed here to attend a festival at Asbury Park. Great location super close to the beach and overlooking the lake. Everything was within walking distance and check-in/check-out was very easy to follow. The rooms had a working TV set up with all the streaming platforms, an AC and a private bathroom. All we needed was a place to sleep and shower and this spot was literally perfect. The walls were a little thin so you can hear everyone who is also staying at the Melrose.

I enjoyed the close walk to the beach and the all the restaurants The TV wouldn’t load anything to play. I also wished there were extra blankets available.
-
Beautiful place one block from beach and only a few blocks from the charming shops in Ocean Grove and also only a few blocks from Asbury Park. Room was meticulously maintained and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Listing said every room had full kitchens which they did not.

The location is superb. Easy walking distance to the beach, or restaurants. Parking was easy in the off-season but would be difficult during the summer. The building is old and the floors, and even the beds are uneven. There is no door to the bedroom. Door to the hallway has a huge gap under it letting in light. The shampoo provided was just a bottle with no cap. There weren't enough blankets for all the beds.

On the map it showed that the Melrose was on the beach when in reality it’s one block off the beach. The faucet handles need tighten. they are almost falling off. Coffee pots in the room would also be nice.

Location was great The carpet was damp, it smelled mildewy The comforter was so cheap feeling It felt more like a boarding house
-
Clean room, very small bathroom. shower was dingy. The pillows were not usuable they were so hard. THe mirror in the bathroom above the vanity was very high (need to be on tip toes at 5'3").
-
Within walking distance of the beach, Stone Pony and various places to eat. The room was incredibly small with a full bed. The “private” bath was across the hall. No staff in sight.

Clean and quiet.

Excellent location (3 min walk to the boardwalk/beach/town), hassle-free check-in/out. Balcony access with lake views. No reserved parking. There was no door separating the bedroom & living room area. My daughters were very upset about the sleeping arrangements (mattress on the floor & couch). Extra bed sheets/blankets/pillows were not provided either.
