Best Western Okemos/East Lansing Hotel & Suites

Great pool!

Did not get to swim, was full then it rain hard. But over all great hotel.

I’ll always come back to this hotel when I’m in the area. And I’m gonna strongly recommend it to other people.

The room I was given had a food odor. The toilet didn't flush properly. The electric clock was not set to the correct time and I was unable to find a way to correct it. I couldn't operate the TV. I called the main desk. The staff person told me it was probably that the button sensor had been pushed behind the TV stand. I found the sensor but still could not operate the TV. I asked if the staff person could send someone to get the tv working. He said he'd see if the guy was around. When he returned to the phone he said he'd couldn't find him. I asked him what could be done. He said he'd come over himself. He fiddled with the button and remote and got the tv operating so I could switch channels. I asked him how to set the clock to the correct time. He said impatiently, "I don't know." I unplugged it, not wanting the alarm to wake me up in the middle of the night. The button glowed bright blue all night and I understood why guests put it behind the TV stand, and why the staff person knew instantly what the problem was. In the morning the tv would again not operate. I am a Best Western loyalty card member and know that there are better and worse hotels. This one was unpleasant. On the plus side: comfortable bed, quiet, roomy, and no bugs.

Beds were comfy. Room was nice. Pool was a hit with the kids. Located right off the highway but no highway noise. Good food in the area. Breakfast was underwhelming but simple enough for a hotel.

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind! There was an issue with cleanliness in the room but they handled it really well.

It was clean, quiet and NO WEED smell. Nothing really. Very nice place to stay. We just come there to get away from home.

Stairs to second floor suites, no elevator, desk clerk did not offer a first floor option, no wall plug near bed for medical equipment
