Holiday Inn Express & Suites Okemos - University Area by IHG

Room was too crowded with furniture. Bed was against the wall. Pool needs repainted, and needs a hot tub.

We stayed for 3 nights and the whole time bathroom fan was not working even after reaching out to the front desk no one showed up to fix that or no curtesy was given to change the booked room.

My big criticism is the breakfast fiasco. The cleaning staff gets fed. That's great! But when the 6 or 7 of them wipe out breakfast and there's nothing left I'm a little grumpy. Also, they ran out of coffee and utensils. Bananas were brought out after the fact. We stayed 2 nights and never saw anyone cleaning tables for for the next guests. So the tables and floor were pretty disgusting. The trash was overflowing in a couple bins. She was probably too busy gossiping with the cleaning staff in the back of the kitchen because she was rude to 1 of the other guests and was heard telling them about it.

On my last night at the hotel, a thunderstorm knocked out power throughout the area where the hotel is located. The staff could not have been more helpful and considerate in light of a difficult circumstance that they could not control. They were terrific.

The beds were extremely comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly!

Breakfast good. Facility is pretty new and well kept. Would have liked a walk in shower. I believe some rooms had them.

After a long day of travel, we arrived around midnight and checked in. It appeared we were placed in the wrong room - we were supposed to get a King suite and were given a double queen - and without a crib. I

Always stay here every time we come to visit family. Whoever the staff member was that checked us in either doesn’t like his job or didn’t want to be there that particular night. Seemed inconvenienced when i asked if they had a room on first floor as i had just had unexpected surgery on my ankle 1 day prior to our trip

I recently checked out of room 327 and deeply regret choosing this hotel. My stay was entirely unsatisfactory. The bathroom tap was completely clogged during my entire visit. Despite reporting the issue, the staff failed to resolve it, leaving me without a functioning sink. The lack of urgency and inability to fix a basic maintenance problem is unacceptable for a hotel. I expected much better service and will not be returning.
