Holiday Inn Orlando East - UCF Area by IHG

Staff was nice but the rooms have a musty smell. We changed rooms because one smelled worse than the other and thetv didn’t work. There are renovations going on at the moment. Rooms look beat up and needs attention, which I’m guessing the renovations will take care of eventually. Carpets need cleaning.

Good for short stay.

The housekeeping staff was very attentive to us. Facility is under renovation so some amenities are not up to par but the staff was great.

Unfortunately this was a very bad experience and when I spoke to the staff they were not helpful.

Terrible. Mold and mildew everywhere. AC was not working well to reduce the humidity and makes the bed wet.

The breakfast was wonderful.

There were many things wrong with this property. The desk clerks were unhelpful and snarky. We had paid a deposit when we booked and when we tried checking in the hotel insisted we paid nothing even though I showed two different receipts from Expedia, one on my booking page and one in my email and they refused to let us check in unless we repaid this amount leaving me and my family 650 miles from home with no hotel otherwise. The hotel was under renovation / construction and if this were noted on Expedia we would not have booked there. We love IHG properties but after this stay we will be avoiding them in the future. The rooms had no circulation and smelled liked mildew. The mattress were 12 years old, hard and very uncomfortable. The bathroom door handle didn’t work half the time and was falling off. The lights in the ceiling strobed when you turned them on. The closet door was very difficult to close once opened so we had to leave it closed and not utilize the space. The bathroom and shower was so small, when you turned around I. The shower you would bump the opposite wall. I have pictures to prove this. Avoid this hotel u less you wish to torture your family.

The property had no hot water! There was construction on the floor above us and the air conditioning was not working properly.

Check-in was quick and easy

It was great. Breakfast was great. the service staff very friendly.

Broken doors, shower. Room last improved sometime 25 years maybe.

Didn’t notify me about the construction that was happening right outside my door and when asked for a refund or a discount was meet with rude

I thought it had breakfast as a buffet but nope

It was a great place for our stay visiting my daughter at her university.

The hotel was clean. The room was clean. The problem is that the first two nights, the hot water didn’t work. I didn’t get a hot shower until the 3rd night. The other issue is that the first two mornings, someone was using a loud drill and the 3rd morning it was a loud hammer. Needless to say, we didn’t get a lot of sleep.

The room carpet smell very humid and there were roaches in the room.
