Chateau Mar Beach Resort

I have been coming to the property for several years now but it was different this year. They told me they were under new management and can no longer park 2nd vehicle even if space was available. Coffee machine in lobby, only real extra amenity, Broken. Stove top in room did not work. No longer full size fridge in the room. They had no towels for the rooms. Went to laundry multiple times and every time, no towels. It is on the beach and descent location but new management is worse than the old management. For me it’s no longer worth it.

This was my birthday weekend and I had the best time with my boyfriend. We definitely want to come back. The access to the beach was fantastic plus the pool was so clean and looked amazing..

The bed was super comfy and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare and eat meals. The water was hot in the shower and we had a beautiful view. Easy to check in and out and staff was extremely nice.

I booked a ground floor room and was moved to the top floor. Then the only elevator broke down and we spent two days struggling up and down 4 flights of stairs.

This is NOT a 4-star hotel! False advertising and I wonder if Expedia knows. This place is moldy, dank, poc-marked walk ways—-please do yourself a favor and DONT STAY HERE.

It was on the beach. The elevator stopped working the day we checked in. (Nit sure how long it was down) The pool was only cleaned once all week. Room service never checked to replace any towels. There was a terrible stench by the elevator. (Smelled like dead fish) It was removed & no smell by Friday.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the pool area was Great! When we first arrived the elevator wasn’t working (no fault of anyone) but two of our party of 3 were disabled and can’t maneuver stairs and we were on the second floor. It was fixed.

The bed and pillows are great. That's highly unusual for a hotel like this. Location is perfect. Shower needs a good cleaning.

The size of the room was excellent, the kitchenette was great. The entire room was very clean. Location was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lighting in the room itself was poor and the bathroom barely had light. The windows to the outside had no curtains or blinds and if someone were to look up there’s a strong possibility someone could see them undressed in the bedroom. The air conditioner was not sufficient for the room and there was humidity inside which added to the discomfort of the temperature, I had it set to 61 which it never got anywhere near that. The rooms did not have irons but they did provide me with one.

I was down there from Ga for my daughter in the Hospital, all was great, and Lee Lee was one of the ladies that went above and beyond expectations, also the rooms were clean , the whole staff was awesome, the cleaning crew; Poppy ; and of course Kaitlyn; and Eric yes I would recommend this stay to anyone , thank you Scottie from Ga I couldn't stay longer

Decent value for money

They couldn't keep up with the turn overs. As it turned out the front desk "cleaned" our room so we could check in. It wasn't clean but it was livable. There was constant construction on the pool tile job. Which I guess was nice they kept it open but it wasn't very relaxing

Great location, only mere steps from the beach! The room also had a good sized refrigerator to store snacks, food, and drinks. Good water flow in the shower and the bed was comfortable. While it looked shabby, there were no bugs and the room was pretty clean. Friendly staff. Not enough parking spaces. The elevator doesn't work all the time which was a big issue for us as we have mobility issues. Even though they are "renovating," everything looks shabby and outdated, paint peeling, stained floors, broken or rotted baseboards, part of the pool area is torn up, and the outside desperately needs pressure washing. No extras, my husband had to beg for extra towels. No one tidied, made up the bed, or touched up the room during our stay.
