Fun property, staff great

Nice cozy hotel in middle of a shopping, dining area.

We were swapped last minute to another room with two queens instead of a king we booked. The room was not clean, the sheets weren’t, and the bathroom shower had zero water pressure. On top of that we asked for a second floor room and were put high up which complicated navigating the hotel d/t mobility issues. It was not a good stay. Hopefully others will have a better experience!

I had high hopes for this property and didn’t need the Taj Mahal but we barely got the Taj😢. I suppose for the price it was ok but some things seem like no-brainers when offered as a selling point.

If you have disabilities, please avoid this property. If I had known that you have to park in a garage 3 businesses from the hotel, and then have to walk in the heat all the way to the hotel center entrance, all on uneven cobblestones no less, I would have booked somewhere else. And to top that off, the "accessible" room we asked for was the farthest room from the elevator on the other end of the hotel opposite the parking garage... When we go into our room, it was okay, but the floor had not been swept as there was styrofoam pellets on the carpet. Later on, we noticed the bottom of the upper headboard had some red liquid remnants that had been spewed or sprayed on the headboard and ran down to the bottom of the headboard leaving blood-like stains and "wet" looking liquid that could have dripped on us in our sleep. The walk in shower was not draining correctly, water sits at the rear of the shower and just pools there. This is just poor show for what we were charged per night at this property. We checked the self service eatery on the second floor and there were zero sandwiches available or directions to finding them, if there were any... We did see a microwave. This is our 3rd stay at a Aloft by Marriot property and sadly It might be our last. The first 2 stays were excellent, this one not so much.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is quite dark and lacked hooks or bars to hang towels. It was a fine hotel for the price.

Everything was great except our AC didn’t work at all. After one miserable night they gave us a new room but no refund. The only other thing missing was free breakfast. Otherwise, it is a super nice hotel. Great area.

I booked an upgraded and larger corner room that was great…until it wasn’t. I found out that we had NO COLD WATER while I was IN THE SHOWER!!! We ended up having to wait quite a while for someone to come up and take a look at the situation. Eventually, we had to switch to a smaller regular room. The pool was one of the reasons I decided to book at this hotel. My kid was really excited about swimming but we discovered that the POOL WAS CLOSED for “maintenance”. Turns out that the pool had been closed since December (5 months earlier), but of course that info was not available when booking. This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I inquired with both the front desk (“unable to do anything”) and also with Expedia about compensation due to the difference in price, but nothing was ever done about it. Now for the pros: The hotel is close to quite a few things, so that was a plus. We loved the little cafe and the racetrack/arcade across the street. There are quite a few dining options as well ( we loved Thai Penny and visited more than once during our several day stay). I can’t really recommend staying here until things are repaired. Book at your own risk.

Great hotel. Great location.

I’m rating my stay a 2 stars of cleanliness parking and amenities I would not recommend.

AC was out in main areas… not able to use the bar area, pool table or even the did area due to it being extremely hot. I felt terrible for your weak employees in that heat to work.

Good and nice, nice place

Despite booking this stay months in advance, and paying 4x the regular rate due to the World Cup, the condition of the hotel and the quality of the service were mediocre, at best. The lobby was very hot, seems that the AC did not work in that area. The room was OK but it did show some signs of wear. The shower valve constantly fell off. After our first night, their daily cleaning service consisted on kinda making the beds and adding a new soap bar to the bathroom, but they could not even wipe the surfaces or vacuum the carpets. Although I have stayed in other Aloft hotels and understand that it is a business traveler hotel, this property seemed to be subpar.
