MainStay Suites Kansas City Overland Park

The room was very clean. The staff clearly had issues, lots of issues...

There were bed bugs, roaches in the bathroom, a bed that was mainly a spring board and just plain dirtiness all over the hotel. We spent about 45 minutes in the hotel, left in the middle of the night and never returned Everything for the most part.

NEVER AGAIN!!!! I have never dealt with a cockroach issue anywhere I stayed. Not even an hour into check in, there were roaches crawling everywhere. On the desk as I was eating my food. 9! The bed!! On the kitchenette area. I addressed it with the front desk and wasn’t even able to get a refund. All she said was “yeah we have a roach issue. I can’t do anything about it.” I left and had to book a different hotel. I couldn’t even stay there. They weren’t helpful at all. I would never recommend!

Terrible staff

The room that I stayed in smelled like a wet dog. The TV would not connect to the Roku no matter what I tried. I was surprised with the "blanket" on the bed that it was SO lightweight that I contemplated going to Target to buy a heavier one. Overall, I wouldn't plan to stay again if I was in the area again.

DO NOT GO DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!! Got there at around 7:30 pm exausted from driving all day, got told with a lot of attitude that I had no reservations even though I had the confirmation email with a code, ended up getting up charged about $100. Smelled like cat pee and cigarettes in every hall way which was also absolutely disgusting definitely not cleaned ever. Got up to the room and it was absolutely disgusting as if someone just left the room, I have much photo evidence of urine on the toilet, massive urine stain on the bed, hair everywhere, white stuff what looked like dandruff covering the couch, I believe bed bugs, food crumbs everywhere, the shower wouldn’t even turn off all the way it was running the whole time I was there, the towel had a bug on it, there was some sort of dry liquid in the sink. Safe to say I didn’t stay more than an hour. Went back downstairs and ofc they wouldn’t refund me. Asked for a manager then I was told with attitude they’d be in from 5 am to 1pm so I called the next morning at 10 am on a recorded line and was told with attitude no manager and that they’d be in THE NEXT DAY. After I checked out I went to a holiday inn express south of recommend going there they were so perfect and understanding. NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO MAIN STAY

Staff was nice and helpful

Mattress smelled like piss and I was told I had to get Febreeze myself to make it not smell.

A bad experience room was a total mess

NOTHING everything was crappy . They scammed me out of my money. EVERYTHING , they scammed me out of my. Money I am now moving forward with a civil lawsuit.

Great place to spend a night on the road. Close to interstate.

This hotel was full of bugs. Roaches were all over the place. And the manager will not refund or take care of her customers I guess the expectation is you take some friends “roaches” home with you. Do NOT stay here!

Very dirty had roaches and just gross that was a hard stay but we already paid.
