Staff was rude and unhelpful.

Very old and outdated rooms. Weren’t the same shown on Expedia app when booking vs arriving. Had breakfast as part of our package and when arriving to food lodge (which wasn’t told to us at check in and had to find for ourselves) staff asked where are breakfast tickets were and we didn’t know we had to have them and had to go back to check in counter to receive breakfast tickets. Breakfast was cold and bland. Dragonfruit juice was the highlight of breakfast.

Basic but nice. Great location with perfect setting right on beach. Nice coffee shop and clean pool.

Great location and beautiful grounds. Rooms rather dated, but recommended overall.

Asilomar has many buildings. They put us in one of the oldest, which smelled of mold, had black mold creeping out of the walls, tile, and ceiling! It was also filthy around the edges of the carpet and bathroom floor. I got sick within hours. Next morning the front desk moved me to a newer building that was clean.

Asilomar is a very special place, I love the history. We stayed in one of the historic rooms, so charming. It’s no frills, but has everything you need. We really enjoyed the outside fire pit and visiting with other guests. The lodge is beautiful. A peaceful morning rocking by the fire was amazing.

We stayed in a family room, which was set up well for us. The room itself was clean but dated. The bathroom was cramped but workable, even though one door actually hit the toilet seat! The ground were not well-maintained. We all commented how much we would have loved to see the place back in the day...

Room was clean. Very limited amenities but we already where aware of this prior to booking. The sliding shower doors were misaligned which made it very difficult to open and close. Good stay overall.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Everything was dated, from the faucets to the fans in the shower and toilet rooms to the carpet and furniture. The fireplace was a nice touch and overall we enjoyed our stay. We found a used towel in the toilet room and the whole place had not had a deep cleaning in a while. But for the price and the location, it’s a decent deal, especially if you need a room with multiple beds and don't mind that there is no coffee maker, hairdryer or refrigerator (which can be requested but was unavailable during our stay).
-
Additionally, the room did not include basic amenities such as an iron, refrigerator, or microwave. Several other essential items were also missing—things that are commonly provided by most hotels and that guests typically expect during their stay.

Great space for a big group. Really nice area and outdoors. No air conditioning.

The whole experience was just terrible. Our room was smelly and very outdated. On top of that the patio door wasn't working properly which made a stay pretty much impossible. The staff was friendly but not helpful at all. Despite several available rooms with working doors, they refused to give me another room. They just offered a refund and we had to drive back home. Back home it took me three weeks and countless phone calls to actually get my money back. Worst hotel I've ever been. Honestly, don't stay there unless you absolutely have to.

Really like this place every time we come. Internet was an issue this time though. Also shared lodging with a family that seemed odd.

El personal de check-in fue muy amable. Recibió mi problema, pero la habitación estaba un poco sucia

The property was maintained and views were very beautiful. The rooms are very old and cold. We checked in and found no toiletries available and had to ask the front desk. Some of the staff were very nice and helpful (housekeeping), while others were not (front desk). The parking is very limited and we were circling to find parking near our build for 10 minutes, finally finding one close to our building.
-
The building was old, no upgrading, twin beds were child size, sheets were cheap and used on both sizes a duvet cover, no air conditioning or air movement even with windows open 100% of the time and no screens on the windows to keep bugs out, no parking.

Would love to see the bathrooms updated.

Walk to a white sand beach was fairly close. Rooms were fun, rustic cabin like rooms. The cleaning crew woke us at 7:45am with a loud two way radio conversation and vacuum in hallways outside our room. Walls are thin, you can hear everything and I mean everything. There are no instructions on how to check out. There is no TV in rooms.

I don't know if we just got a bad room but the bathroom and curtains had a ton of mold and the bathroom sink had a steady drip. The whole room smelled so musty as soon as you open the door. The next day I developed a rash from the mold that I still have a week later.
