Great place, close to the beach, secluded area.

As for the room itself, after having booked their highest level 2 room suite, we walked in to find wallpaper peeling off the walls, the bathroom window handle broken off with the window in the open position (we had to stuff a towel in the window to keep the bugs out), and a "jacuzzi" bathtub that was filthy and rusted. Pacific Grove is a beautiful town with nice, friendly people. But DO NOT book this horrible lodge if you plan to spend time there.

Near by the ocean.

It was perfect!

I’ve stayed at the Rosedale for years and I’m saddened to see the state it is currently in. It looks like the current owners just don’t care! The bed was terrible because it was so old and worn out. The TV in the bedroom was not functioning properly and when I tried to change it with the one in the living room I couldn’t because the base was glued to the dresser it was on. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom looked terrible and the tub area needed to be sealed. It was once the place to go but with the current conditions we won’t be going anymore!

We have stayed here before and enjoyed the facilities. It is a short walk to the beach through the conference center. the rooms are comfortable with a small kitchen counter for coffee, a small refrigerator, and plates, etc. We found that on this trip there are updates needed in our room. Wallpaper was peeling, the rug had black duct tape securing it and the TV needed office staff to help us get it to work. I hope that if we stay there again, we will have a room that is in good repair.

Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. The property and the room itself could use some updating. The floor looked like it was recently replaced and was very nice in the foyer and bathroom. The color tv was not working correctly as the picture was mainly black and white with some red streaks and sometimes blurry. We did not use the fireplace, and couldn't figure out how to turn on the AC. The ceiling fan worked and helped keep the room comfortable.

Great location...beach walking distance...bed was a little uncomfortable...

I have stayed in at least 30 hotels on the peninsula and this was sub par to say the least. The owners need to do a major renovation! The walls are paper thin - you can hear everything! The room smells like an old musty house with no ventilation. There was a ceiling fan but no switch to turn it on. The windows were missing a latch and screen. Wallpaper falling off. I wasn’t sure if there were cobwebs or black water damage on the ceiling. No amenities - 1 pkg of coffee. A couple of stirrers. And worst of all a very, VERY old lumpy bed! Look elsewhere for sure!

No A/C. Converted duplex and triplex houses. It seemed safe. And was full. Any port in a storm.

We love this hotel! We have been here before and the rooms are like quaint cabins. We had our own gas fireplace and a small kitchenette. It also had a jetted tub! Its nothing fancy, but its comfortable. We also got to spot some deer. The parking is safe and you can walk to the beach

The bed was comfy and the staff is super nice guy but wow they haven’t updated this property in the least 26 years. It is Quiet , great location, just needs a facelift.Would i stay again? Yes bc i know what to expect as far as decor.

We have been seeing at this hotel for the past maybe 10 years. We always look forward to staying always been clean comfortable political and we were very well taken care of

clean, friendly, accomodating

It's a great place at a good price and really handy for the conference centre
-
Large space with gas fire place and full kitchen. Jetted tub was nice for soaking after traveling. The decor was a little dated, but I didn't mind. It was fawning season so a lot of deer with babies made the visit special. Close to Carmel for great dining. Great price.

While the rooms are large and quiet, the fittings in the bathroom need attention and some deodorizing would not come amiss. The location is wonderful and parking is free and restaurants are not too far away. The price is lower than many other offerings in the area but if your expectations are not too high, you will find this an acceptable place to stay.

Was ok but we were supposed to get a queen but it was a double bed
-
There may be a scent of smoke among the property, but that is from others nearby using fire pits or real fireplaces flowing with the sea breeze. The bathroom could use some re-caulking, but otherwise very clean. If you want the fireplace for ambiance, just ask staff to light the pilot before arriving. The place is a little dated, but it's a nice quiet comfy stay.

If you are looking for a place to sleep this is the spot for you. Our shower was falling apart. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Rust all over the lights fixtures. The light on the nightstand was completely broken. White stains on the curtains. The gentleman at the front was very sweet and helpful. I fully believe I just pulled the short straw for rooms.
