Pacific Gardens Inn

Great location. Walking distance the beach, and a bike ride to the 17 mile drive. The staff is friendly. The place is not luxury, but has lots of extras.

It was a very pretty and quiet place to stay. Large rooms and real fireplaces. Very close to great places to walk.

The room was very clean and we were given fresh towels even though we did not leave the used towels on the floor. The breakfast was delicious with make your own waffles, cereals, muffins etc., and good coffee! They also had popcorn along with the maker in the room which was a nice touch. Beds were very comfortable. Extra bonus was the bus stop that was about 25 yards from the inn and made it very convenient to catch the bus that takes you into Monterey so we didn't have the hassle of finding/paying for parking. Lastly, the inn was just a short walk to the amazing Asilomar State Beach.

Check-in was easy. Everyone was very nice. Very quiet location close to the beach perfect.

Great location and a nice cozy cabin feel. We had a nice room that had a fire place. We enjoyed our stay in June not much need of a Fire. The problem is the room smells terribly of smoke. Be prepared.

Walkable to beach and The Fishwife restaurant nearby. Very quaint setting with helpful staff.

The room was nice and clean. We got a fireplace room and it was really easy to use. The beach was also close. The property was nice and quiet too.

I loved that the rooms had fireplaces in them, it was very cozy. They also had a popcorn machine in the room which was a nice touch of comfort. The location is very dreamy. It's nestled in the woods (we saw plenty of deer) yet a short walk to a beautiful beach. The price felt a bit high for the offering. Breakfast was ok, but definitely could have been better. It was coffee, diy waffles, cereal, pastries and boiled eggs. I also wish the lighting in the rooms were a bit brighter. The yellow light made it feel dirtier than I think it actually was.

The location to the beach and the beach itself was terrific!

The location is great. Close to everything in the Montery, Carmel By The Sea area. Older place, but the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good for me as I love waffles, but my wife had limited choices. There was coffee, but nothing else to drink. Disappointing

Breakfast was good. Not as broad as menu as bigger facilities. Hot tubs (2) were delightful. Staff was very accomodating. Door lock was pretty stiff. Staff was responsive.

The hostess was kind and friendly and rooms large size with all basic amenities listed in the description. The Wi-Fi worked fine and everything was functional and was there. Good restaurants are walking distance. I will stay here again and again. It was a great find.

Privacy was excellent. Parking was easy and included. Breakfast was very good. Location is amazing. Would love to stay here again. Everything was great.

Exceptional

Don’t know how we missed this spot! We have been coming to Pacific Grove for over 40 years. This is our first time at Pacific Gardens Inn! We have literally stayed at all of the other accommodations around them. Well we have missed out! What a gem! From the most welcoming from desk staff to the wine in the lobby at 5 to the lovely continental breakfast in the morning…. Wow! And the housekeeping crew is second to none! The coffee is great! They even had an air popcorn popper with popcorn!!! And the wood burning fireplace…!!!!!! Thank you to all of The Pacific Garden Inn staff! We will be back many times!!!
