This is an older hotel but our rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a room and my son and grandchildren had a room. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is walking distance to the beach which was wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

The room was clean and comfortable. However, it is located in a busy neighborhood and the traffic noise was disruptive most of the night and very early morning. We stayed on the bottom floor, with one room above us. We could hear our neighbors walking on their floors (or ceiling). But the worst, was anytime the upstairs guest used their water (shower or toilet), it sounded like our room was going to be flooded. The shower had a low-flow head on it. However, it was either clogged or too restricted. There was barely enough pressure to rinse off soap and shampoo. So if you want a clean room and comfy bed, this hotel will work just fine. Everything else was just not there.

We had a comfortable stay, the shower was not the best for getting shampoo out of long hair! There was plenty of parking. It is walkable to the beach and some restaurants.

This place has a perfect location and the staff is friendly, however the room was very dirty. The floors were so filthy our feet and clothes were black after touching it. The armchair was covered in large stains and there were random hairs on our blankets when we checked in and in the shower. I think if you’re only staying with adults you could just use shoes and be okay, but I have a small child and keeping her off the floor and clean was really hard.

The location is actually nice. Very close to the beach.

Very cool little spot, loved the fireplace! So quiet and peaceful.

Good enough for a one night stay. You can hear dogs barking. Overall, the place was good.

The place boasts a fire place in the room… totally irrelevant!! Positive… can walk to the ocean!

Clean room and comfortable bed. Perfect if you need a place to sleep. There were little to no amenities. I only had decaf coffee packets in the room and the office didn’t open until 8:00 for very basic drip coffee. The fireplace in the room wasn’t working.

1. The rooms do NOT have A/C! We had to leave the windows and the door open, which was a problem. 2. After about 8:00 PM you are not likely to find a parking spot on the property. We had to park on the adjacent street after returning from dinner. 3. No filtered water in the the small reception area or anywhere else on this property for the guests. We had to go to a nearby supermarket to get some.

There is no sitting area outside except a fire table in the front of the motel. There is also no breakfast of any kind offered (pastry or breakfast bar) and the closest restaurant is downtown Pacific Grove. On a more positive note, they have tried to upgrade an old facility...new windows, flooring. Fireplace worked as did TV and overhead fan. The one staff member I dealt with, about getting clean towels, was very pleasant. Overall, I would not recommend this facility.

Not the most clean hotel I’ve stayed in. Stained shower curtain, stained sheets, hair in the shower and mold on the bathroom ceiling. For the price and location I can’t complain too much but these were definitely a turn off.

Beautiful and peaceful with the Trinity River just out of your backdoor. We will definitely come back.

The staff was truly the best part! Very accommodating and super nice people! The rooms were clean, bathrooms were spotless and had everything you could ask for. Great stay will come back again!! Thank you very much
