Gosby House Inn, A Four Sisters Inn

Super cool that they make fresh cookies every day 4-6:30pm and also have free sodas and water available downstairs 24/7. Smelling the cookies mid day was intoxicating… Free breakfast too, a valuable perk. I look forward to staying at Gosby House again. My only wish is that Gosby House replaces their “low flow” shower heads with real high pressure shower heads… they were abysmal and made it time consuming to shower, but that is my only critique. We love saving the environment, but those gotta go! Lol. Also, for what it’s worth, I never heard any neighboring rooms while staying there, it seems to be a pretty chill clientele that comes in, I really enjoyed my stay here.

This was my first time staying at a B&B. It is a beautiful Victorian style home. But I wish I got a slightly larger room and the walls weren't so thin. But I would stay here again. It is located in a great place and the staff was very helpful. I enjoyed the hot breakfast and afternoon wine.

Warm and welcoming staff. Room was teeny tiny but location was perfect - close to the Main Street and water.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating with every need. The breakfast was delicious. And enjoyed wine and cheese in the afternoons. Our room was comfortable and clean. Will definitely be back.

The property was very charming! The staff was super friendly! Breakfast offered a wide variety of options. We also really enjoyed the the 4:00 wine and cheese hour! All of the rooms are upstairs and there is not an elevator, so this should be considered based on your needs.

Great Location, comfortable bed. Like the happy hour and breakfast. We were in room 20 with noone above us. The room to room noise (guests walking heavily on floor) was noticeable a few mornings. Very low shower water pressure.

Staff is super nice and friendly. Breakfast was really good a few options but good. Parking is on street parking, we had no trouble parking on the street for the most part. The only things that I thought were of issue was the water pressure to the shower they use really low pressure shower heads to save water, but they are insanely low pressure. The room we got was small and cute. The pillows or the mattress had a very musty smell that was over powering of old sweat. It was really cute but the bed and pillow smell really through me off.

Booking said the room had a private bath. Upon check-in, found out the private toilet and shower (separate locations) were down the hallway from the room. When I told the staff that wasn't what I expected, I was told I booked with a "third party". So apparently it was my fault for using Booking.com. Terrible excuse and customer service. Won't be staying there again.

Gas fireplace was a nice touch.

We love the location. It's right in the center of our favorite restaurants and places to see. The room is and view from our room was so amazing. The old fashioned windows make everything so cozy. Whatever is used to clean the bathrooms has a very strong bleach scent. We had to keep the bathroom door closed whenever we weren't using it. The bed was very creaky.

Lovely property, friendly staff, very nice happy hour and breakfast. Great location. The walls are thin! Our room was across from the kitchen so there was a lot of noise when they started prepping breakfast. And whenever the people above us turned on the shower, it was very loud in our room. There is a wall heater, but it seemed like it got much hotter than the temp on the dial.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gosby! The breakfast every morning was wonderful, and we loved how cozy the property was. Also, an amazing location to walk around town or down to the waterfront. Would love to visit again in the future! The only note is that the rooms don't have AC, so it could get warm if you don't leave your window open for fresh air. We did utilize the fan in the room, but it would've been an added bonus to have AC.

Quaint and charming. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Water pressure could be better, but I would guess the plumbing system is quite old. The staff was genuine and engaging. I was interested in some of the historic facts about the Mansion and they were eager to share and genuinely enthusiastic about where they were working. The breakfast was more than adequate and the 4:00 p.m. wine and charcuterie was a pleasant perk. There are nicer accommodations but the overall experience exceeded the price. I say two thumbs up.

Lovely property for our 2 night stay in Pacific Grove. Excellent jumping off point for exploration around Big Sur, Carmel, and Monterey. Fulfilling breakfast with excellent options. Friendly staff! Very happy with this stay overall. Thank you!
