The entire hotel was frigidly cold!!! Our room AC was set at 59! I understand that it is Florida, however it was only 79 outside at the end of September; 59 degrees was absurd!

I am extremely disappointed with how this hotel handled our $150 deposit. After our stay, our $150 deposit was not returned because we were told the room supposedly smelled like cigarette smoke. Nobody in our party smoked inside the room. We actually went outside to our vehicle whenever cigarettes were smoked, during both the day and night. There are cameras near the entrance/door and where our vehicle was parked that should help verify that we repeatedly went outside. What is especially concerning is that our final invoice does NOT show a $150 smoking fee, damage fee, or any other itemized charge explaining why our deposit was kept. We formally disputed the charge and requested the documentation supporting it, including the housekeeping or inspection report, photographs or other evidence, the date and time the room was inspected, and the specific hotel policy authorizing the $150 charge. If a hotel is going to keep a guest's $150 based on an allegation of smoking, I believe there should be actual documentation supporting that decision—not simply a claim that the room smelled like smoke. We know we did not smoke in that room, and we are asking for our $150 back unless the hotel can provide legitimate documentation showing otherwise. I would strongly encourage anyone staying here to carefully review their final bill, keep their receipts, and document the condition of their room when checking out. This experience has left us extremely dissatisfied with how our deposit was handled.

First impressions are always the most important. Unfortunately the front desk staff at this specific location falls short of welcoming. My best experience was the young man that assisted me when I left. They just don't seem to like their job and it shows. On a more personal note, we were placed in room 110 (don't allow it). It's next to a maintenance room and below what sounded like a herd of buffalo above us. From what I could hear, it may be a family actually living there. A couple times, it literally sounded my something was going to come through the ceiling and/or walls. Plus, this room while relatively large, but unusual. A huge (over 10-12ft) desk. A full size refrigerator, stove,microwave etc. Also, the carpeting down this hall was badly worn.
