Palmetto Beachfront Hotel, a By the Sea Resort

Maintenance man knocked on our door twice at midnight and even tried to open the door (thankfully we had the top door stopper activated)! I called the front desk and was told oops sorry he went to the wrong room! That is a great way to get shot! Ruined our whole trip!

This was my second time staying at Palmetto Inn and Suites. The room was bigger than I expected this time. It’s everything you need. Beach front, balcony, pool, kitchen. Was able to text with the front desk for more towel and toilet paper, they always responded right away and received my needs within 10 minutes or less.

Clean. Great staff. Pool & hot tub are clean and in good working order. Quiet time was at 10:30 I think. Fair price for the area. You will probably have to park across the street if you get an ocean view, but its close and plenty of safe parking. I was there the end of Sept. will stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out how nice the Palmetto was considering its low cost. Checking in was an easy process with the help of the friendly staff. Our king sized room with a kitchen was very clean and roomy for two people. The balcony faced the gulf and had two chairs and a small table.

Everything was clean in the room and it was very spacious with a fridge and microwave as well as the VIEW PAY FOR THE BEACH FRONT VIEW WELL WORTH IT ….!!!! staff was helpful and very nice ..!!! We would come back we liked everything ….

Location. The pool and tiki bar was nice.

Oceanside and affordable. More on the quiet side We found water bottles from a pre ious guest on the floor behind our nightstand when packing

Nothing The room smelled like smoke, there were no amenities, and there was no hot water. The bed had bugs and prickles all around it. I left within moments. Not to mention I booked a beach side view only for them to change my booking and give me something completely unusable. Will never stay there again.

It was basic. The first night we had to have someone come fix the TV and then we found a bug… ceiling tile in bathroom was moved. Which made me nervous but my husband put it in place and we decided not to say anything for the 3rd time. All in all for the price it wasn’t bad at all. But I also don’t want to say it was great when there were bumpy start. Would I go again. Yeah I would.

Second year in a row that one of the two elevators were broken. Furniture is totally worn out as well as the mattresses. They refuse to take cash for ice, snacks, etc. will only take plastic or electronic payments so do not go thinking you can pay cash. This used to be one of the best family hotels on the beach when the family owners still ran it. They sold out to a”resort” LOL. What resort amenities were there? Cleanliness was terrible and the staff would not even get up and make coffee for folks to enjoy. Too engrossed on their cell phones. You know it’s bad whenever you check in to your room and bulbs are out in the ceiling fans and you have to spray the whole room down with Lysol to make it livable. Come on Palmetto, take care of the place and your customers and maybe you might stay in business. Believe me, everyone we seen and heard are saying the same thing I am. I am not an angry beaver or disgruntled old man. I just wish y’all cared like the old owners did.

First time and very pleased. Excellent shoulder season value. Comfortable bed, full size refrigerator, microwave, two waste baskets, excellent grab bar in the tub shower. 7th floor view spectacular, large balcony. Pool was clean and very accessible to the beautiful beach. Only one working high speed elevator, could be an issue at high season.

Our room was ok to begin with until we started finding roaches. We complained to the front desk and manager however nothing was done. Then no one came and made our beds and changed out our towels and such. The next day we had found more bugs and complained again they sent a strange man to spray. That night when we returned from dinner MORE ROACHES were crawling everywhere. They suggested to move us but since we were near the end of our stay that would have been a lot of work. We finally talked to a manager that stated there was no notation that we had complained at all in our account. OF COURSE NOT… When checking out we asked for the manager and of course there wasn’t one. We asked for a corporate number or email and were told they didn’t have one. This was our Honeymoon and a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and Will never recommend and that is very sad because there pools were nice and the beach access for guest was very nice.

Northside rooms were too dirty had safety issues like open socket. Worst experience for Family.

Room was clean. My only complaint was a lack of parking space on the property and across the street.
