The staff were all so delightful and helpful. Henry went above and beyond to make sure we got up to our room when the electricity went out. The tiki bar, restaurant, and ice cream shops are amazing. The beach was so clean and beautiful. We will be back!

The positives: I love the deck seating, rocking chairs, hammocks, beach access, playground, and volleyball courts. The front office staff and indoor pool team were incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating. The tiki bar is always fun, the snack shack is convenient for beach days, and the gift shop is outstanding! They truly have everything you might need. My only complaint outside the resort itself is Coconuts across the street. We’ve given it multiple chances, but the food is overpriced and average, and the service has never been welcoming. Parking can be inconvenient, though staff works hard to keep it reserved for guests. While there are three pools, they stay very crowded because of the size of the resort. We chose Sandpiper again for a few reasons, but this will be our last stay. We’ll be returning to Holiday Inn Express for future trips.

For a room with a kitchenette, I had to get a cup of dish soap from the front desk, there was only one elevator to my floor and it was very slow and hot, there was carpet throughout the place, the safe in the room was an extra charge, the tv had to be unplugged and reset every time I wanted to turn it on, the porch had railing going all the way on the partial beach view side, there were no hangers/closet/ironing board/shampoo or conditioner. The tub wouldn’t drain, so maintenance had to come for the and tv, A few positives included: the tiki bar, pineapple drinks, location, plenty of options on parking, crosswalks, 24 hour front desk, hot tub,

    Was not worth the price.

The room was so outdated, there were roaches, it smelled like bacon grease when I arrived, the rooms are so small, you have to request your own towels and take out your own trash. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is top notch, especially for 4th of July fireworks. The beach is beautiful and very accessible and welcoming to hotel guests. The gift shop, ice cream store and frozen drinks at the Dolphin Bar were notable positives. Negatives were lack of standard in-room amenities and some guests loudly partying throughout the night.

Old school beach hotel. Probably better if you have kids.

The location of the property is fantastic. But the rooms are old and need thorough maintenance. Several of the things were not working in the room like flush of the toilet, waters were not passing through the sink. We called the property and they were quick to fix it. And regular housekeeping is not done. I expected better services for the money spent.

Experienced some trouble getting into room. Took several trips from the 3rd floor to the lobby to get it situated. Some trash left in room. Nothing to major. Overall a decent stay.

Great experience, rooms were renovated, grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Super fun for families with children. Would stay again.

On a postive note, the beds were comfortable. However, the pictures that are posted on the website are not a true representation of the property. The rooms are outdated and disgusting. I had a partial ocean view from the balcony. the funiture on the balcony was disgusting as well. The toilet was running throughout the entire stay. Maintenance came twice to repair not sure what he did but it didn't work. I would never stay there again. If you are looking for a nice resort DONT I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.

Rooms are NOT cleaned every day, even though the part we stayed in is a "hotel." You can ask for the vacuum to clean the room yourself. Must ask for towels and new bedding if you want it. There were a few bugs in the room. Very few amenities are included, even though this is called a resort and you have to pay fees. Umbrellas and chairs cost extra and we even had to pay $1 for a ping pong ball. Drinks cost extra too and weren't worth the price. Pools were always murky. My biggest complaint is I booked 2 back to back bookings (added 1 day to our trip, but had to do separate bookings to avoid a fee) and I confirmed 3 times in writing with sandpiper beacon staff that we would be staying in the same room for our entire trip. When we checked in, I had to tell and show the employee that we had been told we would stay in the same room. He had to make an adjustment but did put us in the same room. When we had to come down to the lobby the next day to reactivate our room keys/wristbands for the remainder of our stay, I had to tell another employee that again we have agreed that we are staying in the same room and he had to fix it. Having this conversation and "guarantee" 5 times is ridiculous. Either have the system merge or at the very least, put a note on my info. Thankfully we did stay in the same room after lots of conversations. Faux wood was shown in the pictures but our room had carpet. People were smoking weed on the balcony near us and in the tiki bar. Easy access to beach

My son ended up vomiting after being in the room. The elevators were filled with unbearable, unpleasant odors, and the smell throughout the hotel was absolutely disgusting. We ended up canceling our reservation because there was no way my family or I could spend even one night there, especially without knowing whether we would get our money back. We then had to start searching for another hotel at almost 8:00 p.m., and it was nearly impossible to find one because everything was fully booked for those dates. If you want to enjoy your vacación, do not stay at this hotel.
