rude unprofessional people I had booked a 2 day trip but was not able to go for family reasons so I requested either a cancellation or reschedule the next morning and they purposefully did not respond until the day of the trip and said I cancelled the day of she he can’t do anything but THEY chose to not respond until way later. Finally after hours of back and forth because he/she wouldn’t respond they let me choose dates for the next month and wouldn’t let me choose random days even though they weren’t booked. Then the day comes to where I’m on my way to the hotel and they refuse to answer any of my texts or calls asking for information about my room and how to get in they didn’t respond until after check in time and said I could have early check in even though the time had passed. Then the day I’m leaving they decide to harass me over and over about my puppy saying I need to pay a fee and one time wasn’t enough they decided to say it not once not twice but 6 times in the timespan of 4 hours and then had an attitude when my husband grabbed something of ours we forgot at the pool she made ANOTHER comment saying don’t forgot about that fee in a snarky way. Yall will gladly not respond to my messages when I need help and information but will blow my phone up about a small fee. On top of that the place is dirty the beds aren’t cleaned they’re covered in sand. The floors turn your feet black and are covered in sand and one of the kitchen chairs was completely broken the seat was fully lose and when my husband went to scoot the chair in and sit down the seat lifted up and smashed his finger and almost broke it now it’s swollen purple. I’ve stayed here multiple times and the owners have always been weird and don’t talk and stare at you constantly like they have a problem. Will not be booking again

Location, value & beach access N/ A

The best thing about this property is the location. It is right across the street from the beach and a walkway that goes straight to the beach. Our particular unit did not have a back door to the pool, which every other unit did. The comforter on the bunkbeds had a white crusty substance smeared on it. The shower had hair on the wall walls and an unknown substance that looked like it was skeeted on. There was no icemaker in the freezer and no way to make ice either. It was also an empty crown royal box under the sink. The front porch was very messy cluttered with the last people that stay there, beach chairs, shovels, buckets, toys, and two bikes that were just kind of scattered out took up all the space on the porch, and it was very much an eye sore.

I liked being able to park my vehicle right outside my room door and the pool was right outside my other door. The air conditioner was kinda noisy, and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable in the world.

It was a little bright with the lights from outside.

The Catalina upgraded us for no extra charge before we ever arrived to the facility. It was very nice. Myself and my teenagers enjoyed it. Was comfortable had easy access to the beach. The pool was clean and nice. Would definitely stay again.

What I don’t like is the roaches and bugs ants need to improve on that

Property was right across from the beach access! We could go back and forth effortlessly!! Quiet! Not a bunch of partying and teenagers! I loved it! However I think black out curtains would help a lot!! I love how lit up the property is for safety! But I do tend to like to sleep in the dark!

Close to beach across the street not beachfront . No restaurants in walking distance . The place needs all the rooms fo be updated . It was ok but would’nt stay again . Location was not great but it was ok

The location was perfect. Right across from the beach and beach entrance. Room was clean except for the floor. A lot of sand was on the floor when we first arrived. Beds were very comfortable and kitchenette had everything we needed.

I loved that it was right across from the beach just the whole layout was nice The beds were just a little uncomfortable

Location It was so dirty, small and confined. Had stains on my towels, washcloths and bedding ? Floors were just plum nasty and gross. Outside was nasty at both doors. I still can’t believe I paid to stay at the place. Everything was outdated and parking was ridiculous. I had to park around side of building because someone’s vehicle was in front of our room the whole time. Lessoned learned the hard way unfortunately. I wouldn’t recommend the Catalina to anyone.

location was perfect, just across the road to a private beach access. The beach wasn't crowded at all. The room was clean. needed more towels since they don't restock during your stay.

No Breakfast Parking to tight

Location across from the beach is great. Terribly dated, very poorly managed property-it felt disgusting. Old junk was around the outside of the rooms, our room had an old chair sitting out front and there were leaves, dirt, and various debris all over the entrance area. Because there is no staff to make sure rules are followed, rules get broken-our room smelled like marijuana and we witnessed people smoking and vaping inside the rooms. The pool was very unclean, pool chairs were broken and disgusting. Please beware that while the listing doesn’t say-it is an unmanned property. They will only communicate via text-I had to call Booking.com to get anyone to answer the number the property provided me with. On our 3rd day there, the water was unexpectedly cut off for at least an hour with no notice whatsoever. Parking is atrocious, one day I was blocked in by one of the “maintenance men” and had to search for him to move his car from behind mine. Please, please save yourself. We were traumatized. Various bugs in the room-a roach in the bathroom. I promise-I just want to save any other family the nightmare experience. Sharing screenshots of my conversations with the “hotel staff” who wouldn’t answer my calls until Booking.com got involved.

Unsupervised children under the age of 6 at the pool

The place was nice and clean the pool was clean and the good thing is closed to the beach love this place would come back again Everything was good there’s nothing bad to say
