The pool was a bit small, but the kids enjoyed it without having to worry about a deep end. Rooms were clean and are accurate to the pictures, though the carpet was a little worn. Staff was polite and helpful.

Staff gave me an extremely ugly face and two plastic bags “just bring your trash down and throw it!”. There is no explanation for why I should do it myself at that time.

It smelled really bad and the restroom and room wasn’t cleaned properly. The property was affordable but I guess you pay for what you get. I would not go here again.

I had written a negative review regarding my dissatisfaction with my previous stay. However, managements role in rectifying my dissatisfaction was what made me write a favorable review. The listened to me and planned a corrective measure so that I had a positive experience. My son, 17, a fellow at Cal Tech, stayed at the hotel for over a month, the management came to know us. They are a great team! I would recommend the stay because you feel like you’re at home! 10-10! I did not like seeing bedding and trash outside the rooms. Around check in time, I saw soiled linen piles from several rooms stacked nearby my door way along with large trash bags filled with accumulated trash also near other door ways. I do not believe this is a practice that makes the property look professionally kept. Secondly, the landscaping and sweeping g of the parking lots need attention, thirdly, the trash cans could be emptied in a regular basis. Many guests purchase fast food items with large packaging and many guests throw their containers in the trash cans which piles up. T

The bathroom was so dirty, the shower smells so bad.

Shower drain bad sewer smell (indication of hair in the drain system). You can only paint so many layers to make it look fresh - accept the fact, entire building in and out requires a remodel.

This HJ is very close to lots of good food options. The room was clean and there was free parking. Free coffee in the lobby. The pool was the size of a large hot tub in the corner of the parking lot. No interest in spending any time there.

They’re quite flexible with the checkout time, and the staff are really friendly. Not ideal if you’re looking for accommodation near the downtown area.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Property is a bit old but everything worked fine

We needed to stay an extra few nights last minute. The hotel was fine for what it was and what we needed, a place to sleep. It felt clean enough and the beds were very comfortable. The shower drained smelled bad. Front desk agent was so kind. We felt comfortable and safe. The location was good and we enjoyed the coffee shop within walking distance (fikafika). It is fine for a no thrills quick trip. I wouldn't want to stay longer then a night or two however.
