Comfort Suites Peoria I-74

The location was horrible. The hotel was located in the back behind a closed/boarded up Perkins restaurant and a run-down Red Roof Inn (which was painted blue I might add). Outside building and grounds conditions were just as bad. Weeds were growing up between the rocks, faded paint on building and parking lot in bad condition (potholes everywhere like a mine field). - I had to wait to check in. Seemed like one person running the entire hotel. - The hallway to my room had multiple laundry rolling carts sitting along each side. Some doors to rooms were propped open and rooms were dark. ( - Room had broken down couch; fau leather furniture pieces with the fau leather chipping off; wood furniture had laminate chipped off and corners missing. The floor lamp had only one bulb in it, and the other socket was open which could technically electrify someone. - Bathroom floor had cracked tiles, hair in tub and on shower wall, vanity was chipped laminate. I felt unsafe in the hotel due to location and lack of staff at front desk. I hope someone from hotels.com visits to better understand the dire situation at this hotel.

Everything was good. Bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels. Shower had good water pressure. Beds were soft. Liked the separate sitting area with a couch and footstools. Breakfast was good with waffles, sausages, scrambled eggs, muffins, It was a pleasant stay.

It was overall an okay stay. I didn’t love it but it’s a nice place if you are trying to explore the area or are visiting someone

Everything is great just wish the gym equipment was working.

Very old building that needs upgrades. The room smelled very damp and the mattress needs to be replaced. Gym needs stretching mats as well

Due to the busy weekend (college family weekend and many highschool and college tournaments) there weren't any other room options in the area so we had to stick it out. The breakfast was stocked daily with your pretty standard eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, fruit, yourgurt, cereal & bread options. There was no coffee options in the rooms however there was coffee in the dining area. None of the ice machines were working.

Check-in went great and I got all settled into my room. I went to go take a shower and noticed that the towel that they have over the tub was wet. I’m not sure why so I just tossed that aside and used a different one. I saw there was dark hair on the bathroom floor too (I have red hair). When I crawled into bed, I noticed a sound that eventually I figured out was coming from the outlets right next to the bed. The USB outlets did not work, but the regular ones did. Eventually, I went to bed and I got woken up at 11:45 PM to the sound of running water. I followed the sound to the bathroom in which there was water coming in from the ceiling right by a light. My floor was all wet (now I understand why that towel on the tub was wet). I immediately went to the front desk to let them know and the guy had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to switch rooms. Of course I did. So he got me a room across from where I was, so I went back to the first room and packed everything up and brought it to the second room. Once I was done, I went back to the front desk to return the keys to the first room. The USB ports once again did not work. My bathroom door did not latch, and when I woke up in the morning, I realized that there was no smoke detector on the ceiling, and also saw that the new towel that was laying over the tub was dirty. it also looked like there was possible mold on the ceiling as well. The fan in the bathroom also was really dusty. I will not be staying here again.

It was terribly hot and air conditioning not working well. Not the cleanest. Literally never found staff when it was time to check out instead I just left my room key with a note.

Once I asked for a new room the following day the staff took care of it immediately and the new room was great. 1st night stay was not good. We got in late so I didn't want to disturb the staff but the room smelled musty, moldy and overall "dirty". The room felt moist and sticky.

The location was good not far from places I had to go. I didn't like that all the rooms I looked at had a mold and mildew smell. I had two rooms and the bed in 122 was sinking in on one side. Room 105 was just the mold smell.

The staff were helpful and accommodating. The room was more humid than it was outside on a 100* day in July. The bed felt wet it was so humid. The metal on the dresser handles was rusty it was so humid. We tried a second room and while it was slightly better, there was no way I could sleep there. I had to find another hotel for the night.
