La Reserve on Pine

They are going for old world charm, but all I got was old. Old building, old furniture, old appliances. That said, I wasn't looking for luxury. The room was functional. Just note that the pictures do not fit the reality. The front desk staff was nice. My room was next door, so you needed a code to get in. I had a regular key to get in my room. They didn't charge a ridiculous amenity fee. They asked guests to review the stay on paper, but there was no pen. All in all, average.

The staff were very accommodating with directions, maps and restaurants. They were always pleasant and very nice to to chat with while during our stay. The two ladies that were there while we were visiting were simple delightful! Breakfast was a continental style breakfast with hard boiled eggs, muffins, bagels and English muffins. There was different types of cereals with milk. Coffee was brewed as well as hot water for tea and types of sugars and cream or milk. Definitely a great choice to choose from there. We definitely didn't need AC but it was on when we went into the room. We switched it and the room was comfortable. We did enjoy our stay. If you prefer your bathroom with your room, please specify as they do have them as well. We would definitely return as te location is wonderful!

Staff was friendly and helpful, the building is very nice, and the room was clean and huge. We had a few issues: for about 10 minutes, we got stuck in our room because we couldn't open the door. There was a problem with the electronic lock. Also, the breakfast was no better than a 2-star hotel. Weak coffee and no decaf (K cups don't count). We took one look and went out to get breakfast somewhere else. But the price was good and we would certainly stay here again.

Our room was basically in the attic, no decor in the bedroom at all & the plaster walls were bleak and naked. Plywood supported our bed- but despite that, the bedding, mattress & pillows were great. Water pressure & temperature control in shower almost non-existent. The room below (that we were told we’d be in) had a collapsed ceiling. Breakfast was continental but sufficient. You’d expect that at a La Quinta- but not a boutique hotel as advertised online. Giving this place 4 Stars was generous.

So- great staff, great location, clean and beautiful, but unless you can sleep through potential significant noise I don't advise staying.

Exceptionally clean and very kind staff.

I absolutely loved my stay! As a solo traveler I felt safe in both the B&B and the surrounding area, and really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend to those traveling to Philly!

Beautiful bed and breakfast. The room was large and spacious and was beautiful. It is in a great location in Philly. The breakfast was okay.

Breakfast offered many delicious options. Spacious rooms Note: steep steps up to rooms. Not a good choice for those with mobility issues.

Great location, close to sites in center city. Walking distance to subway that accesses professional sports stadiums. Continental breakfast had a varied selection and was well stocked. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

The location was great, in a charming older neighborhood that felt safe and peaceful. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I really liked the character of this place. There is no elevator, so be prepared to use the stairs.

Large clean private and well appointed in a superb location

The front desk opens at 8 AM and permitted us to store our luggage until our 3 PM check-in. The hotel offers early check-in (11 AM) and late check-out, with water available and sweet oatmeal cookies in the afternoon. The location is great, the staff is very friendly, we really enjoyed the accommodations, and the continental breakfast had plenty of options.

Love everything about the stay, especially the location.

It was a charming room. Plus a 30-minute walk around would give you a great sample of the city.
