Lokal Hotel - Old City

We enjoyed staying at the Lokal Hotel. The location was off the beaten path so it was quiet, but very walkable to the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross house, shops and restaurants. Parking is separate but only a few blocks from the hotel and the staff at the garage was wonderful. We also ate breakfast at the Cafe just a few doors down and would highly recommend. The room was as described, very clean with a lot of amenities. Just be advised there’s no elevator and the stairs are narrow and steep, so choose your room wisely if you have a lot of heavy luggage. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is a real gem. We stayed at the Betsy - our kids loved the bunk bed. The place was big enough to provide a common space to visit with friends from the city while our kiddos went to sleep earlier. It has a great vibe and feels like you’re a local vs staying at a chain hotel. Plus the Betsy is only on the 2nd floor. They also suggested very close parking for only $30 a day. It was very locally oriented with all the historical sites and has a great coffee place across the street. Best part, doesn’t feel haunted at all for being such an old location. Definitely suggest staying here.

We stayed at Lokal Hotel Old City, a loft-style hotel that somehow makes you feel less like a tourist and more like a local who just happens to have excellent taste in neighborhoods. Also apparently the kind of place where people accidentally leave their trousers in the dryer for the next guest. Which honestly tracks with Philly’s energy. Because the people here are absurdly kind. The type to hand you their umbrella in the rain without hesitation. BTW, we left the umbrella in the room along with the rain jacket and those trousers for the next guest Nothing

Beautiful, large room wtih tasteful, thoughtfully-selected furniture and amenities. Location was excellent for visiting the historic landmarks. Media system in room was problematic and did not work over the 5-night visit. Efforts to fix it were unsuccessful.

Location is nice. Apartment was extremely dirty. Host offered a few solutions. Overall was an ok place to stay but I probably wouldn't return.

I love the location of the hotel! I enjoyed the decor as well. I thought that the bathroom and the rug in the hotel could've been a little cleaner. The worst part was the level of noise we heard from the guests above us. There was constant stomping late night and early morning the next day.

Everything was very clean and tidy. Well equipped kitchen. Nicely decorated. Stairs up to rooms are very steep. We were on the second level which was two flights straight up. Rooms were fairly quiet except any construction during the day.easy check in and out. Lovely bathtub and separate shower.

Hotel was clean, in good condition, and surprisingly quiet. The beds were comfortable and the location was very convenient. There is no real parking so plan ahead if, like us, you drive into the area.

Amazing hotel, perfectly located within walking distance to everything! Incredibly spacious and very comfortable. This will be my regular stay in PHL.

The price was higher than what the experience justified.

Clean room,

The hotel room was very clean, and the location is perfect. It’s situated on a lovely street filled with boutique shops and cafés. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen, as well as a washer and dryer, which made traveling with kids so much more convenient. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

I loved the entire space, the amenities, and the location. There wasa ton of space. The view was great. The place was easy to find and access. It was an extremely cold day, but the space never really got warm. The shower water pressure was not good, but the water was hot. You can really hear other guests walking up and down the stairs.

The room was very nice but unfortunately there was a sex toy left behind in one of the drawers that the staff missed when cleaning the room before we got there. It made me uncomfortable and worried about the cleanliness of the room. I feel this shouldn’t be overlooked as it is a potential health and safety hazard. Otherwise the amenities and everything were very nice.
