It was good but felt a little basic for the price

Very old And very dirty place to stay not recommended Very bad, Customer Service Very old And very dirty place to stay not recommended
-
Great location, clean room, nice staff, great atmosphere.

In historic Philly Could not control temp in the room. The room had a mechanical odor. At 2am the smell of marijuana was unbearable. I tried to use the phone to call the desk and the phone didn’t work. The cost for the room for one night was very high. The bed was super uncomfortable and hard.
-
Coffee that we had to pay on the first floor was awful. Parking is detached from the hotel, which is not convenient and not free. Staff didn’t explain well.
-
I was bumped due to overbooking without prior notice and sent to their sister hotel which was far from comparable or convenient for why I was in Philly to begin with. Not happy.
-
Location At 11:30 at night there was a loud crash that scared my daughter and myself. It wasn’t a solitary crash. It was a huge noise like shelves falling and this happened a couple times. The guy yelled through the door that it was engineering. Seriously? At 11:30 at night.

Location was great. Bathroom felt a bit dirty, very little light in the main bedroom.
-
The property was clean and had a great location. The staff was amazing too. The shower water was cold, Booking.com still showed they had a pool and it has been closed for a year. The lighting in the room was poor.

Wonderful staff!

We stayed over a weekend with family and were disappointed. This place could use a renovation. Our room wasn't ready, even when arriving after 5pm! The room was slightly smelly, warm water not always warm, air conditioning barely working, windows screwed shut. Stay away!
-
The valet parking was not well received and you can’t charge the cost if the valet to the room. It’s a pass for me next time. No thank you!!
-
The Renaissance pool has also been permanently closed which is not reflected on their website.
-
We arrived late in the evening and got a room with no heat. We didn’t get a new room till the next day early afternoon. We waited and waited to move rooms. The second room had hardly any hot water. We were told” that’s probably because lots of people are taking showers now”! Seriously! The staff was rude and very uninterested in helping resolve both issues. Food was awful in the restaurant. There was no manager of the premises all weekend. This is not what we’d expect from a Marriott.

Great hotel and staff!!!!
-
The room was clean and situated in a convenient location. A lot of the historical sites are walking distance. Those that are farther, no problem, the metro is very near and well the rest is being able to fit time in order to do all the activities that you want.
-
No hot water for a whole night (4pm-10am) and and the people at front desk shows no respect at all. Won’t recommend. Don’t go.
-
Overall a nice hotel
-
Valle parking very slow for the price paid
-
The staff was friendly and professional, and the location can’t be beat.
