The location is great. We always knew once we were on Market Street, just follow that to the end. The television was the easiest to use out of any hotel I think we've ever stayed in. There was no figuring out how to get a menu to come up. No scrolling to do. There were many outlets in the room, which made charging devices easy. We didn't use it, but it was nice that we got a complimentary 25% off coupon to use at the restaurant in the hotel. We never had to adjust the temperature once. It was always the right amount of cool. There was no dampness to the room like you often get with chain hotels. The on ramp for 95 south is just a few steps from the hotel, so that was super easy when leaving to come home. We are early risers and were told that although there is no breakfast served, there would be muffins and coffee in the lobby. The area restaurants don't open until 8:00 am. We left at 6:30 am to head for home. We thought we'd each grab a muffin on the way out to hold us over until we got a little ways down I-95, but there wasn't anything set up yet. I wished we'd grabbed a couple for the room when we saw them the morning before. Our room was clean and comfortable, but I was disappointed that it wasn't the room that was in the picture, that the balcony view wasn't what was in the picture. There was no exposed brick. There was no view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. We could barely see the river over the Market Street bridge even though it was right there, but we had a good view of the parking lot below. Having been there now, I understand that it's a historic building, so not every room can face the same direction. If I were to stay again, honestly, I would call the hotel and ask specifically for the view of the bridge and an exposed brick wall in the room. I felt a little cheated out of the charm for the money I paid.

Location was great. Robert helped us tremendously as our scheduled driver did show up but Robert walking into the building to start his day noticed us still there. He was wonderful.nice

This is a nice hotel with a pleasant ‘old’ feel. Location is quite OK, no noise from the motorway which is close. No breakfast option but very good coffee and cakes. I liked it, it beats the large chain hotels downtown. Nothing

My new favorite hotel in Philly! The old school charm mixed with modern amenities was perfect for our brief stay. Our front desk agent, Vincent, was so kind and helpful. The room was beautiful, and had everything we needed. Quiet floor, no issues with neighbors, the water was hot and the ac was cold! Couldn’t have asked for a better time. We sadly did not get to use the restaurant since they weren’t open for brunch when we checked out, but we did get a 25% coupon that we would’ve used. Other than parking not being included (we paid $40 to park in the overnight lot directly next door), I can’t say enough nice things!

Great hotel in a great location, right near the historic sites. We had an issue on our first night with the people staying next door, and the hotel manager promptly called me the next day and offered to move our room to an upgraded room. The staff even carefully moved our things for us, while we were out sightseeing. The management is great and very accommodating. We would definitely stay again!

The hotel was beautiful. It feels like you’re staying in a piece of history. The staff was excellent and attentive, and the restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back in the future!

Hotel was wonderful. Beautiful large room.

Our room was spacious, so clean and even had an outdoor terrace. Check in was easy and efficient and the staff was friendly and helpful. Neighborhood has so much history and plenty of places to find coffee and food. We parked on the street and made use of the parking app. But the hotel does have paid parking.

A charming hotel in an excellent location to explore the Old City in Philly. Staff were all welcoming and helpful. They made us feel “at home”. The restaurant was wonderful and an extra treat. If you’re going to Philly to see the historical area, this is the place. Clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff made it really special.

Also, it’s really close to everything, even if it doesn’t show it on the map.

Old world charm in the historic district. Only complaint, if you wanna call it a complaint, was the noise coming from the highway directly adjacent to the front of the hotel. Of course the hotel cannot do anything to change that, but if that is something that will disturb your early morning sleep you might want to take a room that is not a view of the Delaware river.

I stay here often. Staff is welcoming and always a pleasant experience.
