Penn's View Hotel

pleasant staff and good location

Our room was charming and clean, with the character you’d expect from an older hotel. Dinner at the restaurant was amazing, and being able to enjoy it and then head upstairs made for such a relaxing end to a hectic day. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

It would have been nice to know, that the room they put is in was walled up next to restaurant that was on site. During evening hours we could hear the water running, banging of things against the wall, the dishwasher running and etc. It stopped when the restaurant was closed but when trying to take a nap or chill on the evening, it was very noticeable.

Beautiful place! The staff is excellent, they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We felt very welcomed. The location is great, walkable to historic sites but still quiet (was nervous about noise being so close to freeways, but it wasn’t an issue at all). Would stay here again in a heartbeat on a return visit.

Super cute place in an excellent location for exploring all the historical sites. Rooms are a bit small, as to be expected with an older building. Staff was great. Not a lot of amenities. Only issue I had was that fitness center was really dirty and obviously not kept up. But overall, highly recommend.

It was clean cozy and convenient,,walkable for my commute and several options for dining out or quick food grabs.

Nice relic of the '70s with curiously memorable interior. Comes with discount on their own restaurant which may be valuable for location. Warning: nothing quiet about the riverfront as it's really a freeway front. Not for those who want fresh air and an early start.

This is my new favorite hotel in center city Philadelphia. Ive stayed here a couple of times for nights out and ive enjoyed each time I stayed. The rooms are great, the staff is nice and helpful and the property is well maintained. I'll always recommend

I complained about a lot of noise coming from other air conditioners from outside my window. The manager changed my room and there was a lot of noise coming from other air conditioning unit outside the different room. Very disappointing.

Very nice shower.

Great location, very walkable to all sights. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Door and windows need newer blinds or curtains to block street lights, (room 203), but I used a hand towel as a blindfold and slept fine. Antonio was very helpful and he got us a table at their very busy restaurant, The Panorama. Excellent food and great , well stocked bar and huge wine selection. The Bees Knees cocktail was a delight! If I return to Philly, I'd definitely choose Penns View.
